The map is just needing a few more gameplay tweaks, then it should be ready.

During todays playtests I had a devilish idea, I spawned some of the manhacks in hz_laserblender... it was brutal xD

as I figured then, it's all this damn hype around it without anyone checking the facts, also thought it was strange there was no new download I was expecting the least would be needed is for a template(non hl2/hl2mp) mod to build it with the new codebase and release that...

Well that clears up my confusion then.

I've seen you saying needing Source SDK... and also saying you need Source SDK Base(which all mods needed in the past that weren't mounting hl2/hl2mp/etc instead)

But Alien Swarm released the Alien Swarm SDK a seperate Source SDK as you will, so which is it people actually need... Source SDK, Source SDK Base(MUCH smaller than full SDK) or Alien Swarm SDK?

Is there anyone that doesn't have any Source game that can actually confirm this works btw? Mighty curious that this actually works and could be done so quickly, cause that's great news if that works(means more mods can do it! yay!)

Not every TC starts off a TC though.(Jailbreak is the first to come to mind, it started as a simple hl2mp mod, it did have a "restart" when 0.5 went bad... so maybe...)

Anyway downloading the SDK before even bothering with the game :P

Making the SDK separate clears the way for it being absolutely free to *everyone*, without it granting access to existing 2006/2007 Source mods (which mount HL2 content) too. I'm betting that the AS SDK won't have the normal shared engine content we're used to from SDK Base, just like UDK only has a subset of UT3's.

The reason I'm heading this way could be translated into: Modular Combat has co-op, humans versus npcs, so what is this gonna be? Co-op.

Manhacks are a natural choice for being a flying enemy, with physics and stuff to go with it.

So you could read it as: After playing modular combat I got inspired to make a co-op mode for GN as well.

Does that clarify it good sir?

Not thinking, we have a plan for it :P
But currently GMN (modeller and mapper) has a bunch of other stuff to do as well, so it's pretty much a "when it's done" thing.(it will first require a new player model, no small task)

Further intel, seems the armor regen buggers my armor amount, it stops regen at 37 and it resets it to 37 after using a recharger and going over that. The battery packages however don't cause this reset either.

I've also noticed an extreme annoying push from teammates, resulting in being unable to sprint properly if they're in front of you(they push you back), why not simply dissalow team mates to collide complete and remove the push. Would have been easier to code too :P

I really like this approach, no time spent into visuals that can be hard to alter for gameplay changes, making for a highly gameplay oriented approach.

Seems I can't go over 37 armor to be exact when my max armor is 50.
Additonaly, swapping to a 0 in the clip 10 ammo reserve SMG due to the ammo regen when I'm clubbing someone/something can be really annoying, there seems to be no way to turn this auto swap off. Would be nice if that could be disabled in a future version.

I chose my suit to have 50 armor max though and when using the suit rechargers they would reset it to ~35 and start charging me again, never reaching 50 and the mega charger could charge me to 50(overcharge of 50 or oversight?)

All in all, great mod, keep on updating it!

I loved this back in the day, sadly it's 2vs2 had some flaws(griefers/afkers mostly) but that can be worked out, glad to see you're back in action!
