Seen The Hobbit, i'm not impressed, hard to believe that the same team who made the Lord of the Rings films messed up so badly at The Hobbit. So many flaws in the story and especially the lore changes (Gundabad capital of Angmar, Legolas killing Bolg wtf?).
I like the armour designs tho, although they took the awesome armours from the main character dwarves in the films..
I did enjoy the film at some points, but what a bunch of bs at other points.
Honestly if you just edit the regions then DaC's map seems better to me.

It's not legal to have a mod stand-alone from a game, so no you really need Medieval 2: Total War and the Kingdoms expansion.
Yea, TATW 3.2 is pretty much done well with few to no real issues. Although the work isn't done yet, which is why the future of this mod lies in the hands of those submods, who continue to add and improve content to the base mod in the best way they see fit.

Though the 4 big submods have diffrent garrisons from vanilla TATW.

There has not been any development since 3.2 got released. The future development for this mod are in the submods for TATW.

When you take key settlements from the AI that will happen, its basicly to offer more of a challange since even tho the AI is 10x better than Medieval 2's, it still needs that kind of compensation.
Even tho im on the DaC testing team, idk if only notifying players of that submod is a good idea. :P

The mod automaticly gets moved to your mods folder, look at the installation instructions on this page.

Broken as hell? I've yet to find even 1 gamebreaking bug in the 3.2 version of the mod.
The mod is not entirely dead though... Only the main TATW is dead, but the modding teams of TATW are still working hard on their awesome submods, improving TATW in their own ways.

You really need to learn how to type out clear sentences mate, its kinda hard to read.
Anyways, the mod wont get updated anymore, and several submods are already doing what you are requesting. Exept maybe the balrog since that just isnt possible (at least it was untill recently, not sure now).

Its supposed to be a .exe file, it's an installer.
That does not sound like a problem that a simple mod could ever cause.
It sounds more like the problem is in your PC.
May need to reinstall the game, cuz those 2 patches recently done ****** it up for mw too.
3.0 is standalone, install both parts of that first and then the 3.2 patch, 3.1 is not needed.
I couldn't get it to work either untill i completely reinstalled Medieval 2, but before doing that, just try to reinstall the mod itself in the same way as before.
Go to your Third Age/Data folder, and open the "descr_projectile.txt" file.
Then use search for "axes" and you will find a line like this:
"model mods/Third_Age_3/data/models_missile/francisca_high.cas, 40"
Change the "Third_Age_3" part to the folder that contains the mod for you and it won't crash anymore.
You just install 3.0 both parts and then 3.2, they come with an installer, just install them to the main medieval 2 installation folder and the mod will be moved into the mods folder automaticly. Then create a new non-steam game shortcut and add the mod to your games list, or give the Third_Age_3 folder a diffrent name, of 1 of the 4 kingdoms campaigns.
