Great new scheme. I hope to see it ported over to ModDB. I also wonder if the site is really necessary, but I guess it doesn't hurt since they share the same back-end.

Obviously. I meant to edit my post to say that HL1 was one of the pioneers of the genre, but 5 mins had already passed. I didn't mean that HL1 was THE first fps.

Seriously? You think the original Half-Life was better than HL2, Ep1, and Ep2? I voted for sequels. Actually, when making my vote on this poll, I was thinking about the Half-Life series in particular. HL1 was awesome, HL2 was even better, Ep1 was even better, and Ep2 has been the best so far. I understand that HL1 basically defined the FPS genre, and I'd agree with you if we were taking nostalgia into account, but otherwise, HL1 can't even begin to compare to the sequels.

I'd like to add that I would have rather played Portal: Prelude in French with subs than with the computer generated English voices. Not saying it's a bad mod, but, in my opinion, I think it would have been less distracting with subs. The robo-English bugged me a little :P

That's a really great thing too. A lot of mods seem to overlook sound design. Solid sound design is icing on the mod cake... and let's face it, no one wants to eat a cake with no icing.

I've never actually played a mod with subs before, but I'm guessing I'd be fine with it since I watch subbed anime and stuff.

Damn! 2 days? Excellent work for it only taking 2 days! Hell, this is excellent work if it had taken a few weeks. I get excited every time I see that there are updates for this mod. They just keep getting better and better.

Probably because it kinda does. But I agree that this mod looks way better.

I like the way the blur is. Just because it's not realistic doesn't mean it isn't suitable for the game. If all games were entirely realistic, then nobody would play them.

I love Google so much. I've always wanted to work for them, even before I found out about all the cool stuff their campus has. I just really don't want to live in California. They need to make a location in Austin.
