Umm.... Are the left and right feet swapped, or is it just me?
I'm really glad to see that you're working on your mod again.
Those dev textures actually look pretty cool in this setting.
Great new scheme. I hope to see it ported over to ModDB. I also wonder if the site is really necessary, but I guess it doesn't hurt since they share the same back-end.
That's LOW poly?!
This design feels very fresh. You could see it in the concept, but the render just screams it. I like it.
very nice. excellent voice work
that's pretty cool
wow! he is very decorated!
can we get this in wallpaper size?
god damn, this is gonna be awesome
i think it would be even scarier if a monster didn't pop out.
i hope your trailer footage can match up to the awesomeness of this song
nice animation and sweet model too
mmmmmmm.... i like this...
this is the best mod i've ever played, period. not just on the source engine. if they had decided to go retail and sell this on steam, i would have gladly paid $50-$60 for it.
just got mine in the mail yesterday. its awesome! 10/10!
the package quality is really top notch as well. it's just as professional and amazing as your wonderful mod (which btw is my favorite mod now).
oh sweet! the metal version!
aww what a cute kitty
thats really nice. i can definitely see this bringing your whole game together and setting the stage
wow that's sweet
looks great as usual
maybe another video sometime?
same here :P
its just that it can be awkward when playing a game with naked zombies when you have others in the house with you.
sweet art and an interesting idea. i like it
he probably just hasn't cooked the map
that is incredible texture work!
this is my most favorite weapon
is it even humanly possible to model something like that?
you should make him have a shaved head...
not to repeat what everyone else is saying, but..... nice
thanks for watching!
awww... no ut3?
this is gonna be sweet
woah. thats cool!
i feel that this survey should yield helpful results. im very much looking forward to seeing the results.
go here to see the original sizing of the image.
it goes in significantly closer so you can see the face better
alternatively, you can click view original on the page, then, if youre in firefox, right click on the image and select view image.
its so beautiful!!
thats nothing like ps3 graphics. you are dumb sir.
sorry to disappoint :(
i love it. best in game screen so far!
oh man, those are awesome!
thats a massive level. is the level streamed by any chance like a seamless world? id like to figure out how to do it but i dont think the source engine is able to do it without coding it in yourself.
this dude looks hardcore
wow... you shouldve just made it in the source engine to begin with
well, i figured i would show the community a lot of the hud since you see it all the time and i wanted to get some feedback.
um... a lot of words start with A. and i've never seen the assasin's creed icon.
It's hard to find good images that fit with the mod, that are the right size and position, and that would look cool. If anyone finds something, let me know. I'll keep looking.
blender is pretty good. it's a little weird but after you use it for a little bit it makes all the other seems weird ;)
blender is completely free and works on a variety of operating systems too, in case you want to model on linux or something :P
make sure you check out the video tutorials on the interface.
blender is what i made the models in that are in the images section, and those were the first things i'd ever modeled.
Looks super awesome, but I don't really like the walk animation.
If I were you, I wouldn't put the inaccessible platform with the fruit tree on it. If I was playing through I would probably spend much too long trying to figure out a way to get up to the platform before I either gave up and moved on or just got frustrated and quit.
Very nice. I like the atmosphere.
Yeah that's what I was thinking. Obstructs your view too much.
I like the font. I think the upper arc would be better as a tentacle or something more lively/rounded to give the idea of something organic. I think that with the gear giving off the idea of technology, an opposite organic feeling would help to balance it out. I'd also make it a little more compact if possible.
It really just depends. For me, it's just whatever the project needs. If we want to do something that no one on the team can do, then we have to get another member that can.
I vote for the song in the video to be the mod's theme song.
It really helps if you're working on a project with at least a few people who are as passionate about the project as you are. Going at a project alone can be very difficult. It's easy to get distracted if you are just self-motivated. I give props to any lone modders/indie game devs out there. You know who you are.
I like the glowing parts of this one better, but I prefer the old color scheme. This one is a little bland in terms of color. Maybe just take the old suit and desaturate the colors a tad so it's not too eye popping.
This one was easy. Found it in about 3 minutes.
It's cool to see how all the previously demonstrated effects are coming together into the actual game.
******* awesome. You have successfully done justice to my favorite character. This model is better than the models in the commercial DBZ games. Only thing is that the fist looks a little weird. It might just be the posing. All the fingers shouldn't be level like that. The smaller fingers need to be pulled in closer to the palm or the fingers' sizes need to be more varied. Garagetopia.com
I dunno. I'm not the expert.
Wow this gets better and better with every update. That snow looks spot on. I'm guessing the trails will be used for wind effects?
Damn people and their books. What have books ever done for humanity? Nothing. Games on the other hand provides millions with quality entertainment. Hooked on Phonics can suck my nuts. I'm Hooked on Electronics.
My brother and I looked at this for about an hour and we think we finally figured it out. Definitely not as easy as you said :P We still aren't entirely sure we got it correct because there's little information confirming it. The only reason we got the word was because I know quite a bit about Egypt and it just kinda jumped out at me after a while. Plus, I remember seeing the flower of life on the walls when I played the mod.
aww it doesn't have the arrow in the Ex
LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!!
This looks really cool!
Awesome. It has a kinda anime/manga quality to it.
I think I figured it out. It's kind of a stretch, though.
Edit: actually, I'm pretty sure now.
All Gavavva was doing was being upfront and to-the-point. I'd much prefer him to say "This is what we need, others need not apply," instead of settling for low quality. If looking for high quality modelers is a crime, then every mod on ModDB would look like ****. I'm glad that at least some mods (in this case, indie games) have standards. To the devs: don't give up your search. Maybe consider setting up donations (too soon for pre-orders?) so you can hire a pro modeler. Believe me, if I was a decent modeler at all, I'd apply, but I won't waste your time with my kindergarten stuff.
I don't think he meant that Source engine models look bad. I think he was saying that you have to do much less work compared to their engine to get them to have the look you intended.
You get to ride on the subway? Looks like some motion blur I see :P
For future posts, I think you would benefit from an editor. Posts that don't display a firm grasp of English can be difficult to understand and it makes everything seem less professional. I'd be willing to do it for you if you'd like (and this goes for anyone else's mods, too).
BIG sad face :'( This looked like one of the most promising mods on the Cryengine. Hopefully CE3 will have even better mod tools for you to use so the mod will be even better :D
my bad, double post :/
Yeah it seems that the highlight are a little too defined.
Does Bob Came in Pieces remind anyone else of Pikmin?
I sure hope you don't mean that the actual games were disappointing... I can't speak for Red Orchestra (never played it), but Killing Floor is an incredibly fun game. It's one of those games that you can just drop in any time and play a quick game, or spend an entire night until the crack of dawn playing. It's even got a strong community, plus who doesn't like killing super-powered zombies with machine guns and flamethrowers?
I approve of this mod/game.
Oh noes! He's got Scuba Steve!!
very nice. simple, but not too simple. just the right amount of complexity.
I see what you did there...
Have you never played any of the Metal Gear Solid games? The ending MGS4 scene was nearly 45 minutes long.
Yea, but at least with a video, you are probably going to get it right the first time, whereas with text tutorials you are probably going to end up doing it 2 or 3 times.
I don't think I should have to watch a 30 second ad for a 20 second video.
Anyways, looks pretty cool.
wow thats pretty cool
wow dude. you are using the unreal engine magnificently
I thought it was a great idea, but, to be honest, I think it was poorly executed.
the wallpapers aren't small. 1920x1080 is a 1080p hdtv resolution. you have to make sure you click the "Download" button. right clicking and selecting save as will give you a thumbnail image.
yea, i realize the cryengine is better for nature environments, so i guess i'm fine with the engine switch. it's just that my computer can't run crysis.
I made these 3 screens into wallpapers if you want them:
this ought to please those ungrateful people complaining about just showing rocks.
very nice. flows great
that's true about the acid, but how much of this game is actually realistic?
thats awesome! also, did anyone notice it was playing a daft punk rhythm at the end?
i would totally play this and ive never seen a single episode of battlestar galactica
i like this
sweet use of light
looks great, but you might want to make a separate model for the ropes that have fallen over.
do we get to use a ducky grenade?
looks like alyx is whoopin gordon's ***
wait.... there's a myst mmo??
well, it works
dont fix what isnt broken
did you mean to list this as a quake 2 mod?
nice. v3 looks like it could be for source
I'm working on the website right now, should I make it totally in flash, or just partially in flash (like just the menu)?
Also, should I have the mod's music play in the background of the website?
i dont see any windows
cool. can we have something to compare the size of these to? like an average car, or the empire state building or something.
it has thumbs? it must suck to fight one of those.
i doubt valve will do their own achievements since they didnt develop this game
yea... i have a mod of my own that i'm developing under the source engine but i'm thinking about moving to the unreal engine. it'll make a lot of people unhappy but the source engine is difficult to work with (especially hammer)
I am aware
