run the game in compatible mode and administration mode
set it to Win XP and should work fine

where did u DL the mod, from here?
if it was from here then its a false alarm since Swat said most anti-virus gives false alarms from the installer and the mod it self

remember ModDB never uploads viruses mods in it

then again, this been a major problem since this latest version, think swat said something about the false alarm of the virus in a post he made, just dunno where, think it was on the tutorials section of the page

do a clean install of freelancer, update it to the latest version fo the game, install FLMM clean again, install the mod again and activate it, if the error still persists then i dunno whats the problem might be

try and ask in the swat forums, they might help u abit more mate

well if u look in google for a crossfire wiki u might get some good info ;P
this without spoiling to much of the exploration method
just take a look in google :D

but be in mind of this, that info willn ot show every single new system that was just released, its just to help u out in cases of emergency ;P

no offense dave but i rly doubt that u lost the HD cause of the mod
been playing the game with 1.81 for like 1 week and so far no problems, aside from the false warning of the anti virus cause of the crossfire shortcut.

no problems detected and no hardware crash's either.

are u rly sure the problem is coming from the audio files?
or was another file from another DL u made that caused it?

well i rly did some exploration (around what, 50% i guess lol) and man u guys did one hell of a job in the systems xD
Coalition systems and the alien ones are impressive but i gotta point this out, u guys should reduce the numbers of Dom'kav's ships encounters or something

motherships and battleships causes a huge lag when in massive numbers also, the nomads explosions do the same xD

aside from that........+10 on the work for the systems, especially the InnerCore ^^ gotta love the black hole effect :D

go to their site and DL the FLMM 1.31
might be the problem
1.40 version causes errors while installing the mod, the 1.31 is more stable and u wont have those kind of problems

problem solved :D
was mainly cause the installation makes a mistake heheh
it creates a file called Crossfire and inside that file puts another file called mods with the crossfire 1.81 files and other files outside (uninstall, etc)

basecly only had to move the Crossfire 1.81 folder, with copy/paste ^^, to the FLMM mod folder and it was done

just 2 questions
1st where can i find the ship thats used in the inner core vid
2nd any new ship releases on the 1.81? or u guys just "tuned" up the weapons and ships, aside from the new world releases and stuff?

BloddWing HW2 works on vista (at least on vista 32 it works)
when u install it on vista only thing u need to do is run it as admin and compatible mode for XP

i do this and im able to play the normal HW2 and modded one

when u do this it might ask for the disk or say something like a disk error, but if u do it a 2nd time it will let u play

CWC is one of the best mods for C&C Generals and so is ShockWave

well that the point in my case from Complex, to make the game harder in many ways :P
if u cant defend urself against that number of nukes ur not qualify to be a strategist mind at all

i played agaisnt 2 hard AI's (hig and Vay) and a ally (Vay) and i might say it was rly hard cause my ally died but i managed to defend myslef after that even wiht the Vay and Hig trowing me nukes and Dreads

just pull for ur brains abit

deploy a strategy lol
not that hard to overcome the system, u just gotta think well and fast :P

so far ive seen there lots of good ideas and i post some of mine too(Cypher is my alias there)
ill keep support u guys till the end as ur mod is one of the best i ever played for HW2 :)
