I could spend years playing with Unity, and experimenting with different ideas. In fact, that's mostly what I've done! SO I wanted to start a project that actually puts what I've created in front of people, and gives me a deadline.
So I've started a new project for my community over at OngoingWorlds. The idea will be simple, it'll be a 3D world to explore, with barely any interactivity (as that takes time for me), and things to discver in the world.
So a bit of background about OngoingWorlds.com, it's a community of writers, who each write their own stories. My idea was to create something simple and fun which ties all those worlds together, albeit in an abstract way.
My idea is that players will explore the world finding secret codes to enter into OngoingWorlds (oh yeah I need to create that functionality too), which will give them a rare award which attaches to their profile.
I'm calling this "project LENS", dunno. Everything needs a name right? And I recently saw the Microsoft Holo Lens video.
I'm setting myself a deadline for April 1st for this.
