Okay, So this mod needs a little more explanation than most. You cannot play without going to the OMGmod.org website. You set up a company on the website and set up games against opponents. You call your premade company onto the battlefield. There is no base building.
There are new units and it's not just simply a different way to deploy. The mod is multiplayer only. You build a specific company on the website with a finite amount of resources. You then join a battle with other players and call on the units from your company as you fight for territory.
Yes you would be, the mod does not replace or change any of the Vanilla CoH files

You are correct, the whole mod is installed into its own folder and is completely separate from the Vanilla files!

Unfortunately the style and gameplay of the mod makes it difficult to have an offline mode!
No, it's very valid point,
OMG Mod is interested in maintaining the classic VCoH gameplay, balance and unit stats. This is how we differ from mods like Europe in Ruins where units have been re-moulded to 'fit-in'. OMG Mod has been built upon ~24 patches or so of work from Relic.
We have however added our own units to the game (A list can be found on our Wiki). No ambulances unfortunately! :P
The mod is obviously free to play so feel free to check it out!
Currently only online, we have made the mod compatible with the Steam release also!

Hi there you need to run the OMGupdater, you can find it in the downloads section, If you are having problems running the updater you may need to install dotnetfix4

Other than that, everything else is different. All of our core features are brand new, our availability system is unique, all doctrines are unique as well as our RB and ATS systems (to be explained in full detail later).
Gameplay is MUCH different as well, from watching and seeing videos of what they are doing over at EIR currently, emplacements are handled much differently which adds alot of flavor to the game.
