I didn't get to read a lot of it (I kept losing the book), but from what I did read, it was pretty awesome. It basically has a story where a boy and his friend's town is attacked and pillaged during the night with this woman (an Aes Sedai, which is basically a race of people with great powers used to benefit society) and her bodyguard, who is this big hulking guy who carries around two swords. So, they're chased all over the place from the same monsters that attacked them, and he goes through this prophecy.... well, a lot of things happen during their journey -- let's just leave it at that.
You can check it out here: En.wikipedia.org . I only read about halfway through the first book, so I didn't get to catch a lot of it. If my attention span was better, I'd probably be reading it right now. In fact, I really want to, but college gets in the way of relaxed reading....
I started off with "The Eye of the World" first (it came out before the Prologue), but you should check out the first book.
Yeah. We need a good fantasy book to come about like LOTR and Narnia (aside from "Wheel of Time" and the Harry Potter series). More of those types of books would really get me back into reading.
What do you mean?

Eh, I should've elaborated more. In the Eragon thread, you mentioned DragonLance, of which I also read, and noticed they're making a movie out of. Just wondered if you saw info about it yet.
yar *headbang*
Yeah, that's it :D
I can't get over that pic you recently posted in "What are you currently working on?". I'm truly looking forward to the release of Epsylon. There's something eerie about the look of it, which really got me interested in the first place.
I know this is a question I should really avoid asking, but is there any estimate as to when it will be released?
Also, do you remember that screenshot you posted awhile back of a dragon in a room at night? I'd love to take a look at it again but I couldn't find it anywhere on your site.
Thanks, and good luck with the rest of it :)
You know, hes the deadliest foe that the Rangers ever had to fight.
