Let me introduce myself before we get into this! I am Robert Nemet, 16 year old Romanian, who lives in a small city named Toplita, in a country known as Romania. I started my interest in video games at the age of 9, thoroughly playing games all day long, which was like a hobby for me. But as life went on, I started to show an interest in creating my own games. I first started off with Amnesia Custom Stories, which was something pretty easy for me, at the age of 14. My most successful attempt at Custom Stories resulted in this bad boy! Then, as I learned a lot more, I switched towards the Unity engine nearly a year later, and the first game I made with it wasn't so impressive, and life problems made me lose motivation on that. I started working secretly on the Unity engine, starting up a few projects and then it turns to the present. Lunacy - The Darkness!

I pretty much understand that, but it wouldn't hurt to actually have the dev talk about the current state of the game. Even if there's no estimated date. Sure, screenshots are there, but a Blog or news post or something could be something nice.

Sorry for late reply. You need to turn off ImageTrail and RadialBlur in the options menu. I think you can also find them in the launcher. Just look carefully.

This works 100%. On my PC, the blur that everyone receives is perfect. I still see everything.

And, to an old question. Yes, the blur's intentional. But maybe too much.

It's basically a remake, and since I haven't thought of a proper name, I decided to call it "Haunted Hallways: REMAKE", rather than using a silly name. It is a remake of Haunted Hallways Final (available in the downloads section). But I kinda twisted it up, so it becomes a different trip.

I know what you're saying, but I prefer a realistic name. And the one I already used is what I'm talking about.

To finalj > The feedback's appreciated as always. While I mostly rushed this one (personal problems), it still instilled fear into people playing this in the proper environment. Headphones, dark room, 100% volume. Those are the perfect requirements a horror game needs.

I also mostly focused on the sounds, which made it look awkward. The sounds (which is just one big file, almost 4 minutes long) took me about 3 hours to successfully compile, constantly editing it, and trying to make it perfect. The map was mostly done anyway, so I wanted some way to scare the player, and then make them laugh. That is where [spoiler removed] comes in.

Again, it is nice that you enjoyed it. I'll try to make something different, but after I finish some personal research.

There is a certain entity (check picture "Modern Lights") that is a file which the editor can access, but after it is restarted, it (somehow) accesses the file, but fails to locate it no matter where the file is. Be it the entities folder, my CS' folder, regardless, it fails to locate it. It appears in the editor and seems to work, but in-game it doesn't appear. But I really need those entities (part of the story). But this issue appeared 4 days ago (couldn't fix this) so my only option was to completely change the story or discontinue it. I always get the "Found some errors while loading map. Check log file for details. File index out of bounds!" error each time I load the fourth map (the final map for Demo 2.5), and the lights either go missing, either they use a different light entity, or it remains the same way, except in-game. So, no go. And for some reason, the 5th map (new map) doesn't seem to work. It always says the script file has an unexpected end, but it's complete (i've checked over 52 times), and tried to run it in a different script file for a different map.

So, discontinuation is the only thing I can do. But if you're afraid of horror, it's better for it to be short than long and storydriven with puzzles (if you're bad at them). I don't know how will I release it. But it will come soon (if I can somehow finish the map without that "File index..." error I mentioned above. Each time I start a map, that error appears, even if it's empty! And a random entity, entity type or static object disappears.

The well idea, I was like "I could make the player fall down a well and end up somewhere, while giving the impression that it's neverending." And this is the result. I'm happy with it!

about the release date: When you'll see "Released [date] - where [date] stands for a day like in April 7 2012 - that's when this will be uploaded. I'll post a quick link as well. Until authorisation is done. I won't set it to "Coming **,**, **** " because Moddb's release date system's messed up. It was April 2, yet it said "Released April 3 2012" in David's Nightmare, my previous CS. So once you'll see "released" instead of TBD, then check this page (if you're interested).
