Thanks for the kind message, but I haven't been around for a good while, due to life and all, so that's why I'm late with a response.
Originality nowadays is hard to get, so to see someone who thinks that my creation is "original" is refreshing to me.
Still mostly disappointed due to that engine issue, but if you can look past it, this CS is actually semi-decent. My work always has that "curse" where it just doesn't get noticed. Lunacy - The Survival suffered the same issue almost a year ago, and that is a Unity game (read: experiment), not a custom story.
And before you ask, Gamejolt.com is where you'll find it.
An overdose should do the trick. But due to some semi-mystical reasons, it only works on the first floor (area.
When a vent bangs, look for sparks.
Did anyone encounter that bug where if you change your resolution, then answer yes before 15 seconds, it'll revert after 15 seconds anyway? Nothing major, but thought I'd mention. Fresh install, btw.
The darkness thing was intended for a reason.
So if I were to brighten up the red room, would that help, or should I also try repositioning the lever (maybe) to a more obvious place as well?
Okay, let me ask something. Is that "red room" solution plain sneaky, or is it too hard?
Good luck nonetheless :)
May your Therapeutic Dreams be nice and easy xD
EDIT: Thanks for the positivity boost that you and Spelos have given :)
And do not worry, you weren't crude in your first attempt. You just didn't know what to do. Except you want to try again rather than just give up, which is also completely fine by me.
Things like these happen sometimes, but I accept it. In the long run, what matters to me is that I released the project, even if plagued by potential issues.
Tried but couldn't get my friends interested, didn't want to spoil for the community as an early access.
As for the timer thing, found that out a day before releasing. So... Didn't have much of a choice, but didn't want to delete it all.
While I appreciate the folks who are trying to help me, like DnALANGE with the scripts I missed, and Daniel47 with encouragement, remember that I wanted to make one last custom story before I have to get busy due to life. I accept that this custom story will seem like a failure to people, but not to me. I wanted to make something a little unique, but I clearly messed up. But it's alright. At least I'm happy I got the FNAF idea designed in the custom story, and out of my head.
Exactly what I did, but it seems that the folder got swallowed up. I'll see if I can get that one done.
Remember the red room where you found the lockpick? You need to use an object (not an item) in that room.
Sounds like you bumped into that one engine-related issue I gave a warning about in the game's description. Not too sure about the autosaving thing, though.
As for you not understanding anything, that's partly the point of the mod.
Sorry, but I don't speak Russian.
Might wanna leave comments like this on the front page so that I notice them sooner when I come and check.
Just click right on them.
If you were to extract into the custom_stories folder using the "Extract to TheraDream\" option, the folder will be made automatically.
A piros szobaban (a 4 gyertyaval) van egy fogantyu az ajto mellett.
EDIT: Actually, let me ask. Did you find the lantern first?
And it's out! Enjoy!
Well, as soon as it hits 12AM and it turns December 29th in Eastern Germany is when I'll initiate the upload of the full version. After that, it's only a matter of time until it becomes available :)
Thx as well :)
Anyone else hear a strange noise (especially in quieter rooms, but is hearable even in the menus and the death screen) that sounds like someone reciting numbers in a distorted rumble?
Still casually waiting for a demo cuz I can't afford it yet lol
Seems like 2 comments have disappeared from here. Don't ask me what's up with that.
I've released an indie game myself, which (in a sense) is my first (ever) complete game project. And somehow, the community's eye seems to have missed my game xD
I'll let you be the judge!
Nice pun with that pic xD
If anyone encounters that "lag spike(s)" that occur whenever you look around, I found a solution that may work for you (which it did for me)
Before you ask, my PC specs are as stated:
CPU - AMD Athlon II X3 450 (3.2GHZ)
GPU - AMD Radeon HD 6670 (2GB VRAM)
RAM - 10GB
The solution for me was to open the "opengl.cfg" file, and set the line "gl_compress_textures" to 0. This not only reduced my load times by nearly 60%, but it completely stopped the stutter for me.
Just some friendly advice! :)
The hype is on for many! I may need to push my vids ahead in preparation for this! I'm sure many are already working on that side XD
