Thank you so much for the support guys! We have an incredible team behind this. Heck one of the devs just announced he is doing a solo (free) game in the next 2 weeks to give to backers for an event to win a PS4! These guys are crazy!

Or it is a publicity stunt for the Kickstarter Campaign.

Also, rumors are boring. Facts are fun!

Not for this game. This game doesn't work as well as a title such as Dino Horde for an SDK / fan-made content as it's more about a story we want to tell / a cohesive path.

For future titles we currently have in development, mod support is a huge focus and you will see it in upcoming titles more suited for it. We love modders and what they are capable of (which is limitless). Many of us, including myself, started as modders and we will do everything we can to support them and reward them and make sure the spotlight can shine on them.

No word on Mod support just yet. It is something we highly support and something you will see us include in future titles.

The comments are directed to a very old (nearly 2 years) version of the game. What you saw Markiplier play was the most recent public builds (which are far better - and nearly incredible if we do say so ourselves (biased).

We hope to run into you in the game!

Starting tomorrow (Aug 19) you can load it up for free and determine that for yourself ;)

(spoiler: it's a lot fun).

*Note: Check back on August 21 (Wednesday) for all this new Melee Combat / Sabre stuff via the (free) Desert Update.

We aren't participating in the Steam Summer Sale this time around as we have two major events rolling out right when it ends.

We will be in the Steam Winter Sale later this year, though.

The new game has 3 PvP (competitive) modes for all of our long-time fans who remember the 'ORION: Prototype' from Source in 2009. It features all 3 classes from said Prototype with one mode focused on each of them:

Rocketeer - Assault
Dude Huge - Support
Ninja - Recon

They are rather incredible game modes with Ninja and Dude Huge already becoming community favorites :)

We are re-writing history and basically erasing 'Dino Beatdown' WITH 'Dino Horde'. You will not be able to buy Dino Beatdown in the future.

I should also point out now that if you DO buy 'ORION: Dino Beatdown' on STEAM right now you WILL be saving 33% ($9.99 compared to the new $14.99) and you WILL upgrade to 'ORION: Dino Horde' upon release!

Of course I think of one right after I finish typing. I would absolutely be honored, thrilled and grateful if I ever had the chance to work with Double Fine. I absolutely love Tim Schafer and have for as long as I have been doing video games and he is everything RIGHT about this industry.

If that ever did happen it would be with someone small and someone that is NOT comfortable or safe as that allows for an ignition of creativity and risks - both of which are very exciting in their own ways.

In terms of real life entities that exist right now I unfortunately cannot think of one. I am sure there is one it's just not something we've ever put much thought into as that's not the reality we would allow.

That all being said I hope to one day have Spiral act as a publisher for middle-realm games like the categories we started off in and currently fill and offer other indie developers great and fair deals as we have displayed such as the ones with our consumers (DB being $9.99, free DLC, the free sequel, etc).

Good news is that they are completely optional! All premium content has NO effect on gameplay or game mechanics. Even better is that any player can DISABLE all Spiral Store items on the client-side so they don't have to see other people using it.

The idea of this is incredible. I have also voted yes and shared it on Spiral's Facebook to give you any exposure we can.

Great idea, great prototype, great **** all around. Very, very cool. Keep it up, guys!

Being an indie means we don't always have access to as much financing as one would like. I don't typically like to talk financials but I think it's important to realize that Dino Beatdown was developed on a budget of $45,000 USD across a period of 12 months spread across 25 developers (core & freelancers). Not very much!

Since the release of Dino Beatdown we have put out a variety of Updates and Patches to bring down some of the issues but that wasn't good enough. Not for our fans and not surely not for us. We needed to do something big and we needed to do it right.

That is why we are giving a free copy of the new 'ORION: Dino Horde' to EVERY owner of 'Dino Beatdown'.

We are very proud with this title and it's what we wish could have been much sooner. We've all worked very hard on this and have not only revamped or remade every system in the game but we have also added new systems to make everything easier or better, most notably connecting with friends. We've added Steam Lobbies, Automated Portforwarding, a brand new netcode, Quickmatch, Matchmaking and so much more.

We know we fell short with the first release but we have worked very hard to not only make it up to all of you, but also the game series and each one of us.
