Sith Vs. Jedi

Darth_Terentatek Blog 1 comment

In Star Wars there have always been two dominating factions, the Sith and the Jedi. What isn't clear is who will in the end win, but if you think about it, it is very clear. The Sith will win as they always have even when it appears they have not. The Sith are like all of us feeling emotion and living partly by those emotions but the Jedi....the Jedi believe in feeling no more than a stone. The code of the Sith is this...
"Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion I gain strength, through strength I gain power, through power I gain victory, through victory my chains are broken."
Meanwhile the jedi code is this...
"There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force."
As you can see the Jedi are about as seeing and feeling as a stone, while the Sith are like us living, feeling beings who use that feeling to gain advantage over those who are stone. A being who can feel emotion will always be able to see paths that those who feel no emotion are blind to, paths that may take years to come to fruition but plans that will always win.
Over 1,000 years before Luke Skywalker was born Darth Bane lived. He came from a mining planet that the Republic and the Jedi exhorted and gave nothing to those stuck there. Hardly anyone lived for more than 30 something years and those that did were always sick and soon to die. So Bane had always hated the Jedi and the Republic and he used the hate, sorrow, and fear from those days on that planet to become powerful...the most powerful Sith to ever exist, the Sith'ari. But even then he did not take his revenge, he waited. And then the day came and on that day he destroyed all his enemies in one fell strike. On the planet Ruusan the Sith Lords and Acolytes gathered as did all the Jedi Masters and Knights, as well as the apprentices and Bane took his revenge. Convincing the Sith Lords to take part in a ritual Bane taught them what they needed and left them to their fate. What he taught them was the lost force ritual for the lost power of the mind bomb. What he did not tell them was that the Mind Bomb would kill the bodies of all Force-Sensitive beings within the blast radius and that their spirits would be forever trapped in the mind bomb to suffer for all eternity. And even as the Sith Lords set the mind bomb off the Jedi sat and waited thinking that nothing the Sith did could touch them and so it was that Bane got his revenge, a revenge decades in the making, a revenge no one saw coming. And so all the Sith and Jedi on Ruusan died and Bane became the Dark Lord of the Sith and the Jedi were no more as a order, the Jedi were gone.

The Jedi always attack with no subtly, no deception, no counterstrikes, while the Sith use subtly, deception, and whatever else they need to win, and they always win even if for years after a defeat it seems they are beaten. They have won and have never lost at all...they only made it seem like they lost, but all Sith losses are part of the plan. The Sith never lose and the Jedi will die when the Sith decide the time is right and the Jedi will never even know.
