Greetings gamers, modders, and anyone else who's actually taking the time to read this! Please feel free to browse through all my tabs, as I'm sure you'll find something you like. I’ll be creating and releasing as many mods as I possibly can, whether they're small or huge! So, enjoy browsing through everything!
It's officially started! A while back I created a YouTube channel (link's at the end of this post), and I've just uploaded my first video! It's part 1 of what will most likely be a very long series, and the game is X3:Reunion (a personal favorite). So if that interests you feel free to check it out and if it doesn't, that's fine, too. Please keep in mind, that the first episode moves a little slow, but that's due to the fact that it's sort of a tutorial on how the game works. The reason I did that is because the game can be so daunting when you first start off, and I really want people to fall in love with this game like I have. I also plan on starting other series at some point (i.e. horror games >:), in addition to the current X3:R series. *awkward ending*
Not that anyone really cares, but I'm back! So no, I'm NOT dead. I realized that I hadn't made a blog post in something like five or six months, so I figured I'd give a little status update. I've fixed all of my hard drive issues, but not before they claimed two whole months of my giant mod's work time :( On the bright side, I've got the .nif plug-in for Blender up and running. This means I can bring my dreams of custom structures, weapons, and other random objects for this mod and future mods to life! I've also been dabbling in creating sound effects from random things I have lying around. So I'll be using some of those in a couple of future mods, as well as some music I'm trying to make. Additionally (I know this is a lot), I've started to work on a few unnecessarily censored Oblivion videos, so those should be up sometime soon and hopefully they'll make you all laugh! I'll also be making a YouTube channel sometime this month, and start uploading videos to it. It will contain a wide variety of vids such as: comedy, let's plays, modding tutorials, and a few other types I'm debating on. I wish you all well, and I HAVE noticed the high amount of downloads a select few of my mods, so I'll try to make some newer versions of those with additional content!
I'm back! I apologize if it took me a while, but I sort of got side-tracked with other projects. As promised, I have uploaded a considerable number of mods for you all! Six to be exact. I hope everyone enjoys them because I, most likely, will not be uploading very much over the course of this summer. The reason for this, is that I will be treating one of my giant mods as a full-time job. I am still working on both of the large-scale ones, but I must admit that I have been, and will be, focusing more intently on the bigger of the two. I will still make a few smaller mods here and there during the summer, however. In addition, everyone can expect a full announcement of one of the large mods sometime after the end of this year. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait.
Well...I have good news and bad news. Bad news first. I am unaware as to how many of you know about April 8th. So here's the deal. On April 8th, 2014, Microsoft will be ending its support for Windows XP (backstabbers). Seeing as how I am still using XP, this puts me in a very bad position. This is due to the fact that there have been rumors that soon after Microsoft cuts XP off, its users may get flooded with malicious virus'. Because I am unsure as to just how far I should believe these rumors, I will be disconnecting myself from the internet for a couple of weeks, following April 8th (time to go OS hunting). So, yes, this means I will NOT be able to upload anything for a little while. The good news is that, during this time, I will continue to work on some mods. Therefore, when I get back online, I'll be able to swamp all of you with a handful of them!
Figured I'd give a quick update on few projects I've got going on. I currently have 13 separate mods for 6 individual games in the works (they're a real handful). A few of them are close-ish to being completed, whereas two of them are going to be a long ways off. And by “a long ways off” I mean the end of summer (2014) or, most likely, later. All I'm going to say about those two big ones, is that they will be for two separate Bethesda Game Studios games. The other mods will be for the following games: Star Wars Battlefront 1, Oblivion, Fallout: New Vegas, & (of course) Freelancer. I've also noticed that there is a serious lack of Battlefront video modding tutorials. I won't make any promises, but there is a slight possibility that I might make a few of those....at some point....I really don't know when.
I'm on my last nerve right now. Some of you may know that I have recently added a mod called "Broom of Death" for TES IV: Oblivion. You may also know that there still is no download link, this is where I've lost my marbles. I've attempted to upload the file roughly six times over the course of two days under the "Downloads" tab of the mod's page, however, every time it places it under the "Addons" tab instead! This might not be that big of a deal to some people, but I have OCD (which makes everything worse)! But this blog isn't all bad news, because even while I attempt to sort this whole mess out, there is a new comedy video I uploaded. Let's just say that Thoronir's day is not going well.
Back in September, I uploaded a mod for Skyrim to the Steam Workshop. The mod allowed you to craft arrows at a forge, given that you had the right materials. It came close to getting 400 subscribers, but then sadly a few of them unsubscribed. Regardless of the slight loss, it still seemed as though my little mod was semi-popular. Therefore I decided to upload it to ModDB as well, and with the Mod of the Year awards coming up, maybe it will be liked enough to at least get a nomination. But putting all of that aside, I hope everyone enjoys the mod!
Currently I have a total of 1,006 downloads! In honor of this I'll try to see what I can whip up to thank you all for your support! Since ModDB won't let me post this without it being over 300 characters, I'm going to draw this sentence out as much as I possibly can, this will be fairly long and completely pointless because this has nothing to do with what this post was about in the first place.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has downloaded my mods. In doing so, you all have helped me to continue making them. I have quite a few ideas for large-scale mods, but even as I make those I'll continue to release smaller ones here and there. But I just wanted to thank all of you downloaders for your support.
