Been gaming since I was 4, my first games being First person shooters and RTS games, mainly Doom 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Age of Empires 2 and Unreal. Around the age of 8-12 I played alot on the original XBOX, mainly because I had a Pentium 3 599MHZ, 256MB of ram, a 50GB HDD and possibly a video card but I didn't know what video cards were called at the time. But I do remember not being able to play the Call of duty 1 properly =P. However when I sometime in 2007 I got an E6600 1.86GHZ CPU with 2GB of DDR2 memory and a 7300 LE, which I would later upgrade to an Nvidia 8600 GT 1GB edition in order to play Medal of Honour Airborne. Although I am predominately a PC gamer, I do occasionally play on Xbox360 (mainly exclusives and racing games, and also when I have friends over) as well as PS3/PS4 at my mates house. I have way to many Favourite games and mods but here are some of em: STALKER (Especially with Stalkersoup and Oblvion Lost mods) Return To Castle Wolfenstein anddd Character limit ^^

Great mod, works fantastic.

Has anyone tried changing the weight limit? I just went ahead and used the actor.ltx/system.ltx from unpacked db files. However whenever I place the actor.ltx file in the gamedata folder, I get many errors including the one at the end. Oddly this happens only if I have a suit equipped. Not sure how to fix it so if anyone has done this well, would like some help :]

Would it be possible to restore this;

In vanilla and previous ROTR version, the AI would not build a superweapon unless you do.

Personally I sometimes enjoy playing w/o super weapons and I would like to find a way to revert it.

Enjoying the mod immensely now. That microstutter I had, managed to 'fix' it. You can simply manual save often, and if that stutter appears, just load the last saved game. Everything is fine and smooth after that =]

It appears that starting a new game (as in a completely new game, not a previous save) 'fixes 'the stuttering. However there is a considerable drop in perfromance if I go back to my saved game.
To Clarify:
Main menu -> New Game -> Stable results
Main Menu > Load Game (About 1hr In game) > Micro stutter and GPU Usage degradation
Loading a New Game and then Loading the '1hr' Saved game DOES NOT fix the perfromance issue.
It also has no relation to how long runtime was. The performance hit is there immedietly when loading a Saved game. Performance hit does not occur if loading a Saved game of a Recently started new game.

I also noticed that my FPS fell from 90-150 to 60-40. I also took a look at the GPU monitor and I have found out that;

Tested this by Looking at the boiler anomaly at Zaton.

On a completely new game;
FPS = 115-118 Stable
CPU Usage = 100% Core 1, other cores were variable but around 30%
GPU usage: 90 - 99%
GPU VRAM Usage: 2544MB
RAM Usage: 2.68GB

Then I went ahead and loaded my saved game and redone the test
FPS = Highly variable FPS 78-92
GPU usage: 40-65% (was very erratic)
GPU VRAM Usage: 2588MB
RAM Usage: 2.68GB
Very frequent micro stutter.

I must disclose that I added in the widescreen scopes fix AFTER I started playing the 'bugged' saved game.

Because of this, I will start over and see if I have the same issue.

Also I am no expert between the co-relation of GPU/CPU usage to game performance, but it seems like there is a link here.
(PS: I Installed everything correctly, with A0 2.5 + MSO with High texture packs on Atomsfear/Nature 3)

Excellent, gives brutal doom even more feel!

I love the weapon sounds especially the minigun.
This I really liked:
Voxels for certain items Grenades make for some quick room clearing reacti
Better animations for kick and melee.
Bullet impacts and splash effects
New weapons like the pistol, chaingun and essentially a flamethrower.
Alt fire on the Rocket launcher, Unreal 1 style <3
Stronger revenant missile launcher
Being able to shoot revenant missiles

Bugs?:
Noticed that while the Alt fire on the Chaingun/Minigun are active, grenades cannot be thrown.

What I would like to see:
Pistol should use its own ammo imo, so it serves as a backup weapon. Its quite balanced as it is though as it has a high fire rate and fast reload, but it seems a bit to situational and it would be fun if it had its own ammo.

Maybe lessen the fire-rate and increase the damage of the chaingun to make it even more diffrent to the minigun.

How about adding this sexy weapon by Flammable4444 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2VenOthMwQ) Its a quad shotgun =]

Pretty much it, I couldn't find anything wrong so its just some subjective things =].

I have a feeling patch 1.0008b1 does not work well with the GOG version

Installed this patch, (just overwritten Bin files). Works however I have a very strange issue, Half of the game sounds are missing.
First person gun fire sounds work,as do reloads and weapon switch, however bullets impacting surfaces, footsteps and NPC Chat, including guitar sounds are absent.

Am I missing something? All I did was copy the patch files. Ill try re-installing it as I tried starting a new game just in case.

Has anyone got this to work with the steam overlay? Everytime I manually add the Launcher (\CNC G\Zero Hour\ROTR_Lnchr.exe"), I get a D3D8.dll error.

I do not get this error if I run the launcher manually from the install directory

Any thoughts?

Blew my wildest expectations, would be perfect if not for a few technical issues...

TO start with the game runs fine at around 45-80FPS on DX9 Full, w/o Ambient Occlusion and Sun rays set to medium. (I5 3470, 8GB Ram, 2GB 650 TI). I have had trouble with the user.ltx.

Changing the graphics settings is fine, I had no problem with that, but if I try to change even a single control, the game will upon loading.

Also apparently, every quick load I do crashes. This didn't happen initially, it only started after the Save Fox mission. I do not think it is hardware related, as I can even run StalkerSoup with very little crashing.

Another issue I had is that The weapon upgrading menu does not seem to work at all.. which is a shame =/.

Thanks and other then that, incredible work, has a 'familiar but very different at the same time'. Feels like how GSC Inteded SHOC to be like, particularly the weapon handaling, great third person camera, surprisingly good voice acting (Rare in user developed content) and amazing visuals which rival that of AAA games such as Crysis.

Great mod with exceptional weapon balance, tasteful visuals and abundant content. Personally I don't like the sluggish movement or the stringent weight limit of 30, but that can easily be changed =].

The only issues I have with it is that:
The last row of the inventory seems to be unusable (I think the Inventory UI Is fairly oversized for 1080p)

There doesn't seem to be an option for AMK Random stashes, which was incorprated in the initial OL2.2 + Arsenal RC1 merge. I really like that feature and I would like to enable it, if present.

Some of the attachment icons are misplaced, eg the MG36's tactical scope appears on the back of the icon. Other examples include the Viper 9x18 having what appears to be part of a UMP 45 icon attached to it, and also the scope on most of the Arsenal mod weapons. This is really minor but I guess its worth mentioning

Other then that the mod is extremely stable and pretty much perfect.
