I like to play RPG, RTS and shooter games. I am a big fan of Star Wars movies and games most of all. I am looking forward to many good mods from this site :D
And I would be a fool to not accept the offered friendship of even a Sith, lol.
And we have a Temple full of Jedi Masters, Knights and Padawans ready to combat you should you try. Remember Sith what you gain is in the short term while what we gain is eternal in the name of the greater good.
"Right"? Isn't that an open ended concept based on ones ideologies according to your own Master Darth Xerstrong? According to your own philosophies I would never make that concession Sith.
You say the Sith are strong and the Jedi weak but to what end do you use your strength? The Jedi use our power in defense of the helpless, to ensure freedom exists where it might otherwise perish, to help those in need. Our legacy in these things will last as long as the legacies of the great Sith conquerors who used their power for personal gain, but history will remember us as heroes and saviors, your memory will be reviled and the descendents of your holocausts will hate you and always look to overthrow you when you are in power. What is unlimited power when it costs you everything?
You make a fair argument there Sith. I retract my generalization on the grounds that you could do the same regarding the killing of Padawans. Neither are the rule but the exception.
The Jedi all become one with the Force in the end of our mortal lives, I believe you refer to the fact that only a few have mastered the ability to communicate with living mortals after doing so. Ont eh other hand your Sith spirits have been destroyed permanently using Sith sorcery and the few exceptions to the Jedi joining the living Force are due to that same Dark magic, like Master Hoth and his Jedi condemned to the abyss of Darth Bane's thought bomb.
And by slaughtering your Masters when they are weak. There is no easy road to Mastery for the Jedi. We earn or we do not, and wherever the Force leads us we are content to do our part.
I love your analogy Sith, you are indeed suns while we are one with the Force. Your own Masters of old have detonated suns for use as weapons as supernovas. Suns burn out, and although they have long life spans they are still mortal. I choose to be one instead with the Force which has always been and will always be.
Patience is a virtue taught in the halls of the Jedi Temples Sith. Your philosophy dictates taking your title by force whatever the cost. I will become Master if and when my brothers and sisters in the Force see that I have earned the title. There is no insult there, I am at peace with the way of the Jedi.
And what power do you possess that leads you to believe your Dark side is so much more powerful than the living Force that guides our actions? My former Padawan was well on his way to power in his own right, he simply took the faster, easier path. But remember Sith, the flame that burns hotter burns out soonest.
The Sith have been too active here attempting to lure our members away with the temptation of "unlimited power" and unhindered abilities. The fact is that all power comes at a cost. As Darth Revan said "Those who use the dark side are also bound to serve it. To understand this is to understand the underlying philosophy of the Sith." The service of the Dark side eats one from within causing them to become a shell of their former self, a puppet of the Dark Side of the Force. You Sith fail to mention that to those you attempt to convert.
The proposed forum is intended for use by Jedi Padawans to search for suitable Masters, not for self serving Dark Siders to attempt to subvert our new members to their power hungry self destructive Empire. Locking down the forum to members only would be most excellent.
Master DJ5555 I would also like to request a forum page for Initiates seeking Masters and vice versa.
I would like to propose to the Council that we create a forum page for Initiates and potential Masters to post their intentions for training.
My fellow Jedi I am filled with sorrow at the loss of my Padawan to the Dark Side. I realize that this happened even to the great Master Obi Wan Kenobi once but I cannot help but feel a sense of guilt over it. I will not dwell on that however as that in itself is a path to the Dark Side. That said, I am available to take on a new Padawan with the approval of the rest of the Council.
No My Padawan! This can only lead to pain and suffering! Please re-think this and come back to the Light.
But power at what cost Balrog? To give ones self over to the Dark Side is to lose one's "self".
Perhaps there is some truth regarding the power of the Sith vs the power of the Jedi in a balanced fight, but the fact that Master K_x has so successfully grown the order in the past week is a testament to the wisdom of the Jedi. We learn from the past and we are more inclusive and expansive that the Sith which they cannot deny.
Is that Mara Jade Skywalker? I have seen similar pics of her with the goggles on.
Masters, I am deeply honored that you have promoted me to the Council. I will not disappoint the Order.
I myself prefer the simple robes I wore as a Padawan. They are unassuming and as an added bonus do not play into this particular disagreement.
The Sith like to inundate our sanctuary in an effort to frustrate and cause reaction among our ranks my Padawan. The best method of counter is to stand our ground but without anger and to point out the benefits of Light Side philosophy. That is of course unless they attack in which case defensive combat becomes necessary.
That is a difficult proposition Master Evo-Lution. Where one might have extraordinary power in combat another may have incredible healing skills or Battle Meditation abilities. Is it right to differentiate between the individual's abilities and determine who is the better?
Agreed my old Master. My time in the order although well spent has been short indeed. I am also busy with the training of my Padawan and would not be able to dedicate the time necessary to the job at this point. That said I am flattered by your consideration Master K__x.
Not yet Ori`verda-052, He was delayed while on his first training mission but is now back and pursuing his studies with a vengeance. I will definitely let you know when he has completed his trials.
Masters, is it possible to take on multiple Padawans? With the sudden influx in membership we currently have more younglings than Knights and Masters to teach them and I would be honored to spend the time to train any who need it. I await the Council's decision.
I currently have a Padawan but he does not seem to be very active in his studies at the moment. I could certainly take on more Padawans if the Council is willing.
Much as I hate to admit it ther is truth to what Darth^Xerstorung says. We must not allow our philosophy to blind us to our own reality. None are perfect, our intentions define us only to the extent that our actions allow.
Murder. A sure path to the darkside.
We have a new Master? I certainly hope nothing untoward has happened to Master Jason, I felt a disturbance in the Force last night and feared something was happening to my fellow Jedi. Actually now that I look around I see that the Sith in their subtle way have not just infiltrated the order and begun to spread their poisonous vitriol, but in doing so have elicited responses of anger from many Jedi. Beware this tactic to bring you closer to the darkside my brothers and sisters int eh Force, and instead focus your energy on bringing them to the light. In either case, welcome Master Heatherkinz and welcome to the order.
