Haha, that video is how a /lot/ of people got introduced to this mod. Best/worst part is that it was something I never really intended to release.
Gameplay? Somewhere between Call of Chluthlu and Insurgency, if you can imagine that. Oh and with a little of Clive Barker's 'Undying' thrown in to **** with your head. And perhaps to the 28 Days Later soundtrack or something by Clint Mansell, depending on weather or not US copyright law changes (again, sigh) before this is released.

In principle, there's nothing really wrong to have multiple dependencies on other games/mods from a programming standpoint, except to say that relying on so many different things that you don't have control over can get muddled if those assets should be changed/updated, or removed entirely. It's not a matter of whether or not the engine can handle it, it's a matter of having six, eight or even ten or twelve items that do the exact same thing, but with a different models.
Frankly, I'd rather play a mod with three well balanced, unique and useful weapons than one with 30.
