One suggestion: don't use pure black for the grout around the bricks; use a darker shade of the color you used for the bricks' base.

Same here; it's one of the reasons I chose to map this city. Interestingly enough, almost every aspect of this city seems to have been planned out around the rule of thirds. I'm not sure if it was planned this way or simply materialized, but it really tripped me out when I discovered it.

the only gripe i have - and it took me a while to come up with one - is that you're using the same texture for the ground and the ceiling. this doesn't happen a lot in meatspace. that texture will work as both, so you're gonna have to make a semi-tough decision as to where to use it.

I'm not sure where this shot was taken - maybe it's at the apex of a walk cycle - but I'd suggest increasing the rotation constraints on the head.

In principle, there's nothing really wrong to have multiple dependencies on other games/mods from a programming standpoint, except to say that relying on so many different things that you don't have control over can get muddled if those assets should be changed/updated, or removed entirely. Aside from that...
