dissonance (tm), as seen on tv, mapcore and interlopers.
which is a good thing
"looks better" is a subjective statement, as opposed to something like "can draw more normal-mapped triangles to screen per frame." yeah, technically crysis is better than source, but as otter pointed out, modern engines tend to look exceedingly fake, whereas source has always had a grittier, stainier look to it, which i prefer.
Holy **** dude, this just keeps getting better and better!
Dude, **** the haters. It's your mod, release what you want, when you want.
With the permission of everyone who's assets you'd be releasing, of course.
**** the haters, bro; you know you didn't steal it. just shrug off what they say and keep on truckin'.
probably not the best place to be standing =P
Damn, that's a shame.
Would you be willing to consider open-sourcing the mod so that someone else could take it up?
Ace work, bro, keep it up. This is reminding me more and more of Afraid of Monsters... and that's a good thing!
commercial games are contractually bound to look like the movie, though
so this is the final version, right?
creative brushwork; me gusta.
It's starting to seem like that's done not to avoid lawsuits, but to avoid fanboy fights.
I agree, you don't need to apologize for anything here. It's your mod, add what YOU want to it. **** what the haters think.
the eye openings in the balaclava are angled too far downward; imo they need to be more furrowed, to create the illusion of an angry/menacing expression.
yup, i'm working on it again!
Wanna feel even older? The Matrix came out over 10 years ago.
Good to be working on it again =)
IF it moves.
It reminds me of the brainbug from the end of Starship Troopers for some reason.
haha, that's ominous
That's the one.
It's a regular person (2m tall), included for scale.
Nope, you're not alone; there's about 120,000 people living in that city, although by the end of the game, the population will have dropped to one or two hundred.
In principle, there's nothing really wrong to have multiple dependencies on other games/mods from a programming standpoint, except to say that relying on so many different things that you don't have control over can get muddled if those assets should be changed/updated, or removed entirely. Aside from that...
ahh! the "555" on the billboard is in the wrong position (since this is, I'm assuming, an American phone number). The /prefix/ should be 555, not the area code, like so: (414)-555-0123.
Aside from that small gripe, it's looking super slick. I think the viewmodel origin is just fine, in fact, it seems more realistic than the ordinary HL positioning.
Holy ****, Raindrop is gonna be Linux-native?
I'm so down for this.
If you need any testing help, or anything else, hit me up!
This is an interesting idea...
are you serious?
...****, i gotta go wall off my portal room now.
a long row of minecarts with a single section of track resting on top?
