Source cant make self shadowing on models (these doors are models), but if u use brushes it will be fine with shadows though u cant apply phong shader on brushes. I chose models here. I also will change info_lighting for that door to make it darker.
just dont overdo it and everything will work fine.

as i said earlier, it already changed. lighting will tune up cause this place does not look like realistic. SH level design always had that feeling of reality. (except alternate world of course)

No, Slums is just a result of mapping learning. If i would work with new mod it will be a big project.

I am really dissapointed by my level design in Slums 2 mod (strange buggy lighting, too dark, boring interiors). Hope that my work in Alchemilla Moddb.com will give me a chance to reclaim myself as level designer.

Jam6i, yes your maps are very useful and will be added to upcoming patch. We dont need town maps. The primal maps are for hospital (3 floors+basement). No red marks. You can add me on skype (diolator) and send me these maps if you will make them. Thanks

Actually, when you make a mod you need to work with limits of Source engine. Nobody can`t make very detailed maps, cause it will get a crush or some other glitch. Those who make a mods must understand me. The look of a player and a modder is very different in most ways.
It is just ******* garbage. And texture for it in one file. I don`t want to work with new textures just for that stupid carton.=)
Mischa Silden, i thought about new textures and models many times. But if i will work with that kind of things, my mod will be never released. And like awesomepossum said, if you want you can help me with that. It`ll be cool.
