I should also mention, I would have no problem purchasing the game, this is not my qualm. I would gladly pay full price. My issue is over the branding/marketing strategy and tactics being used at this point as well as community support.

However, for a game that didn't originally include mod support, I am very happy they are attempting to allow us to develop with Left4Dead. If Left4Dead2 allows the mod community expansion versus separation, I will gladly hop on the bus to zombie hell.

Of course it should have been an expansion or add-on. That would make sense. Call it Left4Dead We All Got Left Behind.

I am a mod developer. I think instead of calling this game Left4Dead 2, they should have named it Left4Dead 'something or other'.

It should be an ADD-ON to Left4Dead. Left4Dead 2 implies a stand-alone.

Half-Life is vastly different from Half-Life2. In fact, it's a different game engine. Left4Dead2 is just Left4Dead with new content, hence it is in fact and should be, an ADDON. It's kind of like a mod for Left4Dead. That would be fine because I could just keep going with my plan to mod the game, but do I now have to pick which Left4Dead to mod?
