thank you man XD we aim to recreate the same intensive, futuristic yet believable BF2142 experience for both new and existing 2142 veterans. the ability to have everything at your command is amazing, and with more official maps coming along this could only get better.. without all the lagging, exploiting, PunkBuster "losing key packets" too, of course :p
according to BF2142, the stacked buildings are compact housing organized for refugees ^^

yeah, EA's cnc3 buildings have always been abit too small.. just look at the civilian cars and the buildings.. when do we ever really see cars go taller than the door? LOL XD
Yeah the titan has a rather different style from the rest of the air vehicles, but thats how the EU Titan looks in the original BF2142, and we're staying with the original design for the die-hard Battlefield fans out there :p
we do have a titan mode, but i wont go into the details for now XD

In terms of purely looking at the financial costs, then yup, that is how we have it right now ;)
As for the resources system.. since so far all of our media coverage has been using our existing storyline, which is essentially a Tiberium-inhabited Earth now facing the dawn of a new Ice Age, personally I think we probably don't have too much of a choice but to stick to it at least partially. Having said that, i CAN confirm right now that the usual BF2142 Conquest mode "tickets" will not represent cash in CNC2142, and captured Titan Mode silos will generate income. So there you have it, a few in terms of resources variety :P

turning BF2142 into a RTS has also been the team's dream, I suppose the fact BF2142 was close to CNC3's release date gave us abit of inspiration too! :) we definately plan to implement a campaign, but right now our priority is to focus on getting all vehicles done, then work on structures and maps. If that turns out to be finished quickly, who knows? Maybe campaign mode will come earlier? :P
Gunships by default have 6 missile payloads (the same as BF2142). To get the secondary gun turret with an extra TV missile, you'll need to purchase an upgrade for it! ^^

hey starchristian456, i've read the comment you left on Command & Conquer 2142 mod page about a year ago,, and i'm really happy to tell you that the mod - after going underground for 2 years, is possibly coming out of deep freeze! Please visit the mod page if you have the time ^^
haahahaha thank you guys! although this map is almost identical to the original in BF2142, our version has been massively improved - unlike BF2142's static environments, almost every object you see in CNC2142 can be destroyed. we really couldn't have done it without you :D
hey man, just happened to come across this mod and wanted to wish you good luck. you'll need it.
why? because there was an almost exactly identical mod called HaloGen a few years ago, it was a pretty famous Generals mod with custom built 3d models and everything, yet Microsoft still struck them hard with the banhammer regardless of the GCR. You're treading a very risky path here, so be careful.. good luck!
haha no worries, we are actually just finishing off Cerbere Landing, some unit balancing issues, collision detection, as well as some behind-the-scenes optimizations to make sure CNC2142 is scalled properly for both normal and extremely powerful computers :)
Also, something big coming up regarding environment destruction.. but it's very much still in testing phrase. We'll release a public preview when it's further polished ^^ Thanks for the constant support all of you!!
nope.avi ;) the team simply has university work to deal with at the moment, our most active periods are during summer and winter holidays, which adds up to about 6 months of development time dedicated to this mod every year. we don't settle for second-rate broken products!

well, currently speaking we do have a solution that enables units automatically use staircases.. it is a messy solution for mappers, but at least we know it works ^^
hahaha yeah, we'll be updating the Moddb profile soon to reflect our latest changes. as for the Northern Excursion mod you mentioned, i guess we have to wait and see.. we want to make sure the mod stays truthful to the original look and feel of BF2142 and Norther Strike, I admit it's a good idea though :)

regarding your question, yes we do intend to remove tiberium! CNC2142 is all about bringing the original BF2142 feel into a RTS format, and we wouldn't be able to accomplish that with all the tiberium everywhere :P essentially everything you find in BF2142 - you'll see it in here ^^

CNC2142 has been through some changes over its development process, but ultimately we have decided players will have the ability to build a selection of buildings similar to vanilla C&C3, however with micro-management embedded into a two-click command system. We will be releasing more information on that very soon ^^

yup! it's accessable ^^ you can put snipers for long range accuracy, assault class for anti-infantry, support soldiers for suppressive fire, engineers for taking out vehicles nearby.
