This is such a brilliant masterpiece, and i play it every single year at christmas time with a friend! :D The campaign is hillarious, absolutely the best SP mod ever made for this game! The after credits scene gets me every time.....and i actually still hope to see Atnas revenge in a Part 2 one day...maybe... perhaps.. ;)

For some reason the widescreen doesnt work. the entire HUD is missing and the screen is weirdly off.
Oh, and the Trade Federation is missing prefab shelters appearently..

Could it be that the rebellion is IMMENSELY overpowered? it cant be that i play against Easy Fortifier AI but within an hour the Alliance invades my worlds with a fleet large enough to battle off ANYTHING i can bring up! srsly, i concentrate ALL FIRE of my fleet at ONE MonCal Cruiser, it takes an ETERNITY til its destroyed and in the meanwhile i lose half me fleet! whats wrong with this game/Mod?! Oo I'm not a beginner, i play this game for years now!
i assume its due to the alliance IMMENSE shielding abilities! i focus fire on a MonCal, and it takes like ten solid seconds fire without a scratch. sorry, this is broken af.

i think imperial engineers should just be wearing grey or black jumpsuits and hats, like the TIE-Reserve or Imperial Bridge Crew. Or should look like Navy Troopers. Imo those look too much like Stormcommandos. Still love your work on this project though! :)

Buddy, i've always played this map every year in December! But THIS Remastered Version blew my mind! I just played it with my cousin (as a yearly tradition) and when we launched the campaign...it was one hour of constant laughing and enjoying this amazing journey! As someone who used to make BF2 Mods as well, we know how much effort this campaign must have taken! and it featured techniques that we've never seen before in a custom BF2 mission! I am speechless! This was the best BF2 experience i've had since BFX! :D We both applauded into our mic after finishing the campaign as a symbolic gesture. And i will do everything thats within my power to spread this map all over the community! This is a MUST PLAY!

i will check it out.

but just because you want unique animations doesnt mean you should use them. especially if those animations dont look good. the Idle Stance for cinematic views? that should not be a reason for gameplay-descisions. BF2005 had lots of problems but the animations were none of them. only the pistol animation should be changed. but even there you prefered the orang-utan arm animation from han solo instead of the both-hands animation. :/ a missed opportunity.

Sorry but no matter how good your models, effects and overhauls are... your mod is just unplayable to me due to the awful reticle and camera perspective. the reticle is not only totally oversized and has WAY too thick lines, its also too high! its positioned somewhere in the upper third of the screen which is like playing with a lowered head.

and something else thats annoying me is that you seem to have an urge to force certain animations into the game that just dont look better than the originals. like the idle stance or the "laid back hipfire" animation. just because you CAN add animations doesnt mean you NEED to. why do troopers go to an formal idle stance in the middle of combat? that just looks stupid.

i might check it out again after the update but at the current state this is just unplayable to me. especially because of the recoil and shaky cam after getting hit. it's just TOO much.

For some reason it's incredibly hard to earn credits in conquest mode... i can hardly effort a frigate, and keep losing system after system. why are there no mines? and why am i punished for building good structures by making them cost weekly credits? Oo

The Mod has one major issue: The Scale. Most ships are tiny, the planet background is large and theres NO indicator where my vessels are. making the space battles that used to be the best part of the game alot more frustationg or even impossible to manage :/

for some reason i can unly use one blaster type and the rest is locked, even the standard blaster. the troopers are ALWAYS using the flechette-launcher, no E-11 anywhere.

Got a major Bug.

Dunno if it's related to the Mod, but in Half Life 2 Episode 1 when i want to escort the groups to the trains they wont end! Alyx keeps telling me to get another group and it never ends! Oo I saved about 15 groups at this point and there arent even many more combine troopers spawning. it's a piece of cake. Any idea what happened? restarted it multiple times. it always happens again.

Feedback:
I know it's part of the higher difficility, but....

-blasters overheat WAAY too fast. especially DH-17 or SE-14. They overheat before you can even make ONE kill...thats too fast.

-too much shaky cam

-AI's aim is ridiculously good. it takes away from the games experience if the enemy feels like having an aimbot.

-blaster bolt speed is too slow. it looks odd.

-custom animations arent always for the better. especially that one hipfire-animation (DLT-19) looks weird.

-Too many different random-skins. when we already got white stormtroopers spawning we dont really need 501st troopers to spawn along as well.

Especially the first 3 reasons break the fun for me reeeeally fast. :/ something a good mod is not supposed to do. i see great potential there, so use it!

Hmh i dont know. i love that tank but i dont think it'll fit into this game. it's too oversized. just like the AT-AT Walker. focussing on smaller vehicles like AT-ST, AT-PT, the new AT-DT or Speeders would match the close quaters style of the game. i couldnt imagine manuevering this monster through the streets of mos espa Oo...

You cannot balance a mod by making it 100% accurate to the canon of Halo. Just because most UNSC ships go down after one hit by the covenant in the games or movies doesnt mean they have to in an RTS-mod.

i've tried every possible combination. i've sent the Halcyon cruisers to the first line to sponge away the enemy fire, artillery-cruisers second line to give them hell, and infinity behind the fleet. but anyway, the covenant just ignored the Halcyon-Cruisers and just focussed on the infinity...and it went down FASTER than i could activate the emergency jump!
facing the covenant one-to-one doesnt work, because they only appear in gigantic fleets.

it's nice that you're trying to help me by pointing out my actual mistakes, but i'm an experienced RTS- and SoagE-Player. I can hardly believe that it's just my tactics. especially, because in this game tactics are almost impossible when you have to control hundrets of ships in a space-battle that looks like a stack of needles. impossible to pinpoint one single ship to use it's abilities... as soon as i do, the AI has used ALL of it's ship abilities. usually i rely on auto-using them.

i've tried different variations of fleets, different tactics and stuff. i dont just waste my ships usually, but the covenant are just shreddering whatever i put in their way. no matter the classes of ships, neither their constallation or my tactics.

i dont know what kind of *special balance* you're going for, but making one fraction overshielded and the other one hit and run doesnt work for this kind of game in my opinion. No offense... i wish good luck tough. :/

i've just tried it again. this time, i used a maximum-sized fleet consisting of EVERY type of ship i have, including the infinity! my tec tree was maximum researched, all ships upgraded and ready for combat! and the first covenant fleet i encountered just squashed my fleet like a bug....
i dont think this is my fault anymore. in the vanilla game, ship to ship combat could last for a few minutes, but in SotP, the UNSC's ships are made out of glass. i lost the infinity (twice) in a few seconds. not only that the covenant fleet just ereased my starships, they hunt my super-fleet home to earth and took out the rest of them INCLUDING my thight web of orbital defences.

how is this mod supposed to work in any way? i dont wanna be rude (especially because i've been looking forward to this for years), but the UNSC is more unbalanced than a jenga-game in an airplane! Oo

well, this is not my playing style. i usually conquer one planet, fortify it, then head to the next. i rely on strategy, not on clicks-per-second...
But for a bullet sponge the Halcyons went down pretty quickly! Oo i engaged the covenant fleet with 50 Halcyon cruisers, and most of them were shredded after the first plasma-barrage. they went down like paper-planes flying into a fire...
as i mentioned, the halcyons were supposed to be the first wave, engaging the titan. the heavy ships should attack from the second line, but they all went down from the very first covenant wave. i dont know why the UNSC is so unbalanced, and why nobody seems to notice it, but i'm loosing every single fleet, no matter the size, agains the covenant. even when playing on easy with a fortifier-AI it took the covenant less than 20 minutes to reach Earth with a massive fleet. plus...the orbital defences are no match for a covenant invasion fleet. they could stop a smaller one, but so far, the covenant ONLY attack when outnumbering me at least 5:1. i've never seen smaller fleets so far. :/ Orbital defences are only good for support firepower when defending a planet... but i can never rely on them doing the job without a fleet.
honestly...i havent won a single encounter yet! the covenant ships are simply too powerful!

Sorry, i dont know if i'm doing something wrong, but the Covenant are UNBEATABLE! Even when i play on the lowest difficulty level and with infinite ressources they still somehow manage to form up a gigantic fleet within a few minutes and just ignore all my defences, destroying every fleet i'm putting in their way! i've once sent out a fleet of some capital ships and 50 Halcyon Cruisers, and they didn't even magage to take down a Covenants capital ship's SHIELDS! Focussed fire on the ship, but they are just TOO overshielded! every match i've started so far was either lost or ragequittet! what kind of "balancing" is this? Oo am i missing something??

sry, i dont know if it's the mod, but galactic conquest is NO fun if i get attacked every 10 seconds. how am i supposed to organize my defenses? this is impossible and interrupts the planning of my strategy. i just installed it again to play a game, but this....AI problem makes it impossible.

Its TOO damn difficult!! Oo What have you done to the AI? It's kinda Radar-AI! They see everything, they HIT everything, they are impossible to defeat! How can i change it? I've already tried to fix it in the AI files...but somehow it doesnt work.
