I make Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption Mods and I also have a really cool YouTube channel called Manda-LORE. I Like Star Wars (Old EU exclusivley), Love Lord of the Rings, and Warhammer 40,000 is pretty neat as well.

I can understand not being a fan of TFA but RO was amazing despite its faults. The Vader scene alone made me fanboy like a five year old.

*disclaimer* I have not yet actually seen rogue one, I have however heard how it was from multiple friends on different sides of the spectrum, I've also been doing alot of reading into the synopsis of the film and character bios on Wookieepedia (I Was trying to earn a couple extra bucks writing an article for a site called Listverse titled; "Top Ten Disney Star Wars Characters Inspired by Legends Characters" Naturally because **** me, they didn't publish it so I'm still broke). The only way I'd ever see that film is if I pirate it to keep my money out of Disney's greedy hands that in 2014, destroyed everything I love about star wars(IE The Expanded Universe)).
First off, how ******* dare they, steal the names and likenesses from multiple characters from Star Wars: Dark Forces and the Jedi Knight games and not just make Dark Forces/Jedi Knight the movie? CAPTAIN ANDOR LOOKS JUST LIKE KYLE ******* KATARN!Jyn Erso? doesn't that suspiciously sound like Jan Ors? Director Krennic is TOOOATALLY not Rohm Mohc at all with his Dark Troopers um, I mean Death Troopers. And they didn't even try making K2SO look different from 8t88 in Dark Forces 2:Jedi Knight.
Secondly, the entire basis of the film is one large contradiction to the 6 ACTUAL Star Wars films. Jyn Erso's trying to find her dad who was supposedly one of the designers of the Death Star; HOW? In Attack of the Clones, we see Arch Duke Poggle the Lesser, give the Deathstar Plans that the GEONOSIANS DESIGNED to Count Dooku for him to give to Darth Sidious. THATS MOVIE ******* CANON, Jyn Erso and Galen Erso (Another ******* EU name they stole IE: Galen Merrek/Starkiller) didn't look like Geonosians to me? From what I read they didn't even bother to explain it.
Lastly, some of the technology is, like what the ****? They explained that the Deathstar runs on Lightsaber crystals, excuse me, Kyber crystals (Because apparently they ******* changed how lightsabers work, ******* retarded) rather than the Fusion Reactor that, guess what is also ******* movie canon. Anyone who's read the complete cross sections that Disney actually ******* republished last year with the force awakens horse **** added to it, can read that the death star runs on a massive fusion reactor. WHEN THEY REPUBLISHED IT THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER CHANGING THE INFO TO COINCIDE WITH ROGUE ONE, thats just laziness. Next, Why the hell is the Rebellion using an ancient 4,000 year old hammarhead corvette from KOTOR, when they steal more advanced ships from the Empire all the ******* time? And Ion Torpedos? WTF? Theyre changing how Ion Weaponry in Star Wars works now? ******* retarded. Its all ******* retarded.
Disney doesnt give a **** about the story, as long as they sell toys and make money off of sheeple who blindly follow whatever just because they slap a star wars logo that they paid 4 billion $ for on any old pice of ****.

Wow, didn't realize you were so against it. I could offer a few counter-arguments but I don't think it would do any good.
That said, it was a very good movie. I liked it. It was fun to watch regardless of what is established and what isn't.
Comparatively to Dragon Ball GT. Most fans hate it and will shout that it's non-cannon as soon as it's mentioned but gloss over some of the good that comes with it. I liked it nonetheless and I like Rogue One and the Cartoon Network Clone Wars show.
But hey, I'm just a sheeple I guess?

I thought it was pretty good though... Okay sure there were a lot of missed opportunists and lightsaber crystals in the EU are HORRIFIC!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! So yea I agree with you're assessment on Kyber crystals. For the hammerhead design... it's just the design that's inspired by the old republic, the tech within the ship is (presumably) new.
Overall even as an EU lover and Kathleen Kennedy hater I had to admit this film was actually really good. Even after Jensaarai1 made the point that in the EU version the reason for there being multiple "get the death star plans" was since they were getting different segments of the plans I still thought Rouge One wasn't that bad. Although of course I loved the multiple components of the death star plans explanation. Actually this explication could also be used to explain away the apparent conflict with Ep2...
That said I hated how TFA ****** up EU lore since EU stuff from that era was so much better. Which is part of the reason why I dislike TFA. While the EU stuff from Rouge One's time wasn't as exceptional so I'm less annoyed by Rouge One's existence.

But yeah, the movie contradicted a lot of stuff. I will agree with the other people here, it was more enjoyable than TFA, but in terms of script and production was a schizophrenic mess leading to an admittedly cool finale.
Actually I vastly prefer Legacy over the new material, Delta. That said, I can appreciate the new things to and the positives that they bring.
And that's respectable Ori, as I've said before.
There seems to be a new breed of star wars fan out there that follows Disney's new canon to a religous level and anyone else who speaks out against it is criticized and and labeled "not a true star wars fan" and I feel that rogue one, especially, has been bringing this behavior out more amongst the fandom.
It's these people I was calling sheeple, I apologize if you mistook me for calling you one of the sheeple. I know you a bit better than that vode lol
