Formerly known as Delta289 for the almost 5 years I've been on this site. I'm a giant fan of Lord Of the Rings and Warhammer 40,000. I used to be really big into star wars but due to recent events my interest in Star Wars is pretty much spent. My patience just ran thin with the decreasing quality of stories coming out of that company and I no longer wish to be associated with any of it.

I'm giving up on official Star Wars films, games, books, etc now just like I gave up on official LotR media following MERP's C&D and the release of the Hobbit part 2.

Fans are our only hope now for both these lores...

What was wrong with Desolation of Smaug? I rather liked it. Yes there is a few issues with the lore in that whole trilogy but at the end of the day the books are still the law of the franchise, it's just Peter's interpretation.

I'm pretty sure I already ranted about it multiple times so I'll try to keep this short.

-Including characters that shouldn't be there.
-Making the quest far more noble than it really was thus resulting in black and white characters
-Trashing lotr lore by showing events which would never have happened based on the laws that Tolkien established. (ie love triangle with a dwarf...)
-Throwing physics out the window by not closing the barrels in which the dwarfs were in.
-Ruining multiple characters in numerous ways.
-Removing key aspects which then cased the story to make less sense.
-Changing certain weapons all together. (Black arrow was an ARROW not a ballistic bolt)
I could go on and on...

I guess my problems with it are similar to your problems with the 2008 clone wars series.
