Thanks for the info! The maps have now been updated!
Thanks for the info! The maps have now been updated!
Only other players that have the same models installed can see them.
I believe a steam update may have broken the icon patch.
Yes, but not in the Steam version of HL1, which is what most people play on these days.
Thanks, the maps have been updated to reflect the latest fixes!
This is a great mod, thanks! I always wondered what it could have been like to play as heroes in this game back when it first came out
You're welcome! I'm glad I could bring you and the rest of the HL community enjoyment from it.
Wow, I knew the PS2 maps had minor issues due to the file converter I used but I was not aware of all of the other issues. Unfortunately I did not actually create any of these maps; I simply converted the ps2 maps using a program on github called BS2 to PC and as for the other maps, I included them for preservation purposes. My Hammer and mapping knowledge is very limited and I do not have the required skill to fix these issues. You're welcome to try yourself if you want, or contact the original map creators listed in the credits. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help but this was purely a little fun compilation that I put together.
Unfortunately I do not have a way of fixing this issue
Unfortunately I do not have the proper knowledge to do that. i didn't actually create these patches.
I did not create this patch, so I'm not entirely sure why that is unfortunately
I'm not sure. I did not create this patch, it's just an old patch that I found on some half life forum years ago and I don't know who the original creator is, so I don't know how to fix it or if it even is fixable at all.
Does this work with the unofficial 1.3 patch?
Unfortunately I am not knowledgeable enough to be able to fix any bugs that may be experienced for some of you that get this addon, sorry everyone! This was just a simple port that I put together myself, but I did not create any of the actual contents used.
Unfortunately I'm not really sure what causes the bug or how to fix it, it's probably just a compatibility issue with the current version of the HL1 engine; since I'm sure it has gone through many changes since the PS2 release.
Does this work on the steam version or just the mod version?
Unfortunately porting all of the PS2 Hazard Course maps is not really possible at the moment. They can be converted to the proper format and launched in-game but because of how the PS2 version of Half-Life's combat code works it is not possible to actually complete the hazard course without using cheats such as noclip. Sorry!
Except the problem being is that the mod you posted seems to be a bit more of a barebones restoration. This one here on moddb seems to do a bit more. So I'm still curious to see how it turns out when finished.
Thanks for the link though, if this mod doesn't pan out I guess I have the HLCreations one to fall back on.
I don't think you're a "**** modder". That's awfully rude of others to be saying. Everyone has to start somewhere and you grow better over time. I'm a huge fan of what you are trying to accomplish with this mod and would love it if you continued with it. Ignore the haters, they are just jealous.
This is a cool mod. Sad to see it go. I don't really understand why there are so many haters.
Any plans to make Op4/Blue Shift/Decay versions of your model restorations?
Still being detected as a virus even with the update.
There's some minor differences between this version and the PS2 version. The PS2 version actually has some additional weapon placements for example.
From the menu in Half-Life you go to create server and select your desired map. Alternatively you can use the "Find Server" browser in game to see if someone is hosting your map of choice. Or you can also type in the dev console "map *map name here*".

Over the past couple of years on this site I have been dedicated to preserving Half-Life and it's expansions' official history. I think it has gone pretty well so far.
