Abomination of desolation!
Man I love this sort of scene! I reckon I can recreate this in my game, I've probably made enough textures although I would need to make some trees. :P
What are the specs of your glorious new PC?
Also how good is GZDoom? And what source port do you reckon is the best, because vanilla Doom95 crashes too much on Windows 7! :O
Windows 7 64-bit (Hexen95 works without any problems, yes I have three installations of Hexen: DOS; ZDoom/GZDoom and Win95). 4 GB of RAM; around 700 GB of hard drive space and AMD Radeon HD 6670. I have no idea about the sound card and the rest!
It's enough for my needs!
To me GZDoom is the best source port! It's like ZDoom with G! I started with ZDoom, having a GL version of it is fantastic! Plus GZDoom has the UDMF map format, it's basically updated Hexen map format!
About my scenery. You can get inspired by it, but keep in mind that this is my own realm! Realm I created in my head for personal enjoyment!
This world has only two seasons winter and fall! It is a harsh world and death is very common.
Ah don't worry I get what you mean ;) the atmosphere is what I want to experiment with; very cold lonely windy paths shadowed with darkness!
Ah sweet! So we have the same sort of system specs then :D
Yeah, I've started to use GZDoom, it runs very smoothly on my modern system, with none of the weird colour bugs. :S which is great! :D

.. on my glorious new PC!
I still play GZDoom on 800x600 though!
