Description
At the moment Sokolov won't go to Pripyat with you, That's my fault. A patch will soon appear but for this error you can copy paste this line into this file. It does not need a new game so do it when you want.

I thought I was doing something wrong. Wow, just wow. Thanks a lot david. Also when does the mission to get the artifact detector from Owl trigger, cause I can't get Strider without having either good relations with Duty or Freedom. In result I can't start the travel to Pripyat mission. And if that is too much of a hassle to get, then how about the other PDA, Morgan I think was the duty guy that sold the weapons to bandits.
And another question, how can I know which is the last faction specific mission as I am member of bandits, but there is no dialog to ask for more work. Same goes to Dawn and other "new" factions.
Once you've finished the binoculars task for the Bandit boss and the task for the bandit trader the boss will have another task that has a few segments to it. That is the final one, In order to activate the main chopper quest line you need to join Dawn and close the dialogue box, then reopen the dialogue and there's new text options to talk to him about his factions roots. He also gives you quests regarding the fate of his old boss. You now need to remain with Dawn until you've reached freeplay and finalised his tasks regarding what happened to the CS leaders after they followed Scar and Strelok to the CNPP by talking to Strelok and getting info on documents you need to find in Pripyat regarding the CS bosses and Scar etc. After that you can join, Duty etc, But you lose the chance to join the Monolith. I thought I'd joined the Monolith in freeplay before but I couldn't do it in this version due to either the factions hostility or the leaders death during the PSI surge as freeplay starts. The mercs, Duty and Freedom are available though.
I was able to get Strider and co in to Freedom early, Every time I tried with Duty the Monolith shot them dead on spawning. I don't know whether I did something or something happened to cause this but I did around 6 playthroughs and noticed this early so I kept trying and it kept happening and I was forced to keep reloading and going with Freedom. Have you spoken to the Duty leader and recieved new tasks from him yet? they will lead to lot's of tasks for freedom, Duty and some back in Zaton.

Is there any thing I can do to set my faction to Dawn again?
I don't want to start from the last save from Dawn, because I did a lot of mutant hunting quests since then and those mutants are just too annoying.. I can talk to the leader, but I am not sure if I will be able when I know the past.
And where is that Captain that the Duty Leader tells you to talk to him when you do the Artifact Quest? I once found him in the bar, but I didn't have the quest. Now he is nowhere.
Yes Sokolov is the pilot in the scientists bunker who you want to go to Pripyat with you.
Unless this contains a new fix I don't know about as I never tried to leave Dawn with this version(It is possible as I could not even say hi after leaving the faction before) then no.

Yes, did all the task that Shulga and Loki gave, easy peasy. Went to Zaton after Varg too. Very interesting ending to that quest(dialog wise).
I had to start a new playtrough though, cause I had some quests unfinished and bugged. For one the Markovich case I had all the game with me, couldn't give him it.
I didn't finish it did I... Do me a favour and send me a save in an e-mail so I can do it for the patch please.
Not really, no quest.
But I found him by accident, he was outside of Yanov. I checked the dialogue with Shulga and he says that he is supposed to be at Zulu's. And, I can talk to the leader of Dawn. I think it's made like this for the quest.
And the fix doesn't seem to work.. I can only say goodbye to Sokolov.
Have you been to Pripyat yet or reached the stage where your getting a squad together?
I got Strider, Vano, Zulu. Sokolov only has "Where did you get your uniform from"
