Sadly there's a few guns with errors like that, I know for some people thats a major issue and I also like quality weapon models however I'm more bothered by whether a mod has new quests nowadays and Geo takes SGM which is already a great quests mod to another level. Plus with over 150 different guns there's plenty of guns to choose from.
That reminds me I need to dig out my old gamedata from the first release of Geo as I did several ironsight fixes back then that I need to transfer over.
I rarely use a grenade launcher attachment mostly because I don't like how the weapon becomes so thick and ugly; I like to see both hands on the weapon and besides, I guess mods do not touch m203 or vog statistics and they are pretty weak in vanilla, hence why I prefer using hand grenades

And they are also much more accurate than the GL attachments
