You can't beat STALKER. I've tried pretty much every game out there but, I've found none that put me where this game does. I start playing and get lost in a world that can be both beautiful and terrifying. I remember my first visit to the Yantar lab in SHOC. It was in the early hours of the morning, I was using headphones while sneaking around the lab. The atmosphere had me on the edge of my seat. Ten seconds later something totally unexpected happened and put my heart in my mouth. I paused the game, shaking like a little child and from that moment on for me it has been the stick by which all games are measured. And sadly they just don't measure up. STALKER is a thousand games in one. Set in a constantly changing, evolving world. The only time any two playthroughs are the same is when you hit that ENTER THE ZONE button at the start of the game.

Only thing I didnt like about it is that you couldnt remove the grenade launcher, too bulky for my liking. :[

The grenade launcher is seperate now and the equivalent weight removed. I just need to find a decent icon for it. HQ4L has done some nice ones for me so I want to keep the quality of any more I add as good as possible.

It takes a silencer, not a big one sadly, I will post a pic of it without the launcher but with the other addons once I get one. I need one without addons to do a new icon anyway.

Been getting lots of config files tweaked today, Theres 25 odd new artefacts and the AMK ones had been put in any old anomaly so I went through them putting them in the correct anomalies electro, gravi, acidic and thermal. In the marshes AMK had also put arts like fireballs spawning in electro anomalies so I redid the lot. I'm working on respawns now making sure they don't conflict with upcoming tasks in there specific areas. MSO gives good info on this for the vanilla levels. And gave me an idea of what I need to do to make sure the swamp additions don't break any tasks later in the game.
