Since NES/Master System II times I collected nearly any console, kept my games and got a self build arcade machine in the kitchen (including MAME and a loooot of games). Music production started with ejay program's. Later I moved on to Fruity Loops/Studio, which I'm using until today. I really love the Stalker games and am fascinated from the zone. Here on moddb.com I try to keep up some sort of support for the German fanbase. If any of you modder guys out there thinks you need a German translation, send me a message. What changes were made on the exe file?
It starts as soon as I use the int. version one.
So as long as there were no very important changes, folks should use their exe.
Otherwise download the 1.0006 patch and extraft it with uniextract.
You get the files, patch the exe and include it in the next version.
Also you maybe should spilt it internally for int and rus releases.
This could avoid many problems as long as you releasing mods here.
Because as we have seen, many thought it will run on the int version.

The fix is sadly useless... Is just corrects the language files. It doesn't fix the issues with the exe and also not the problems with missing object due to the charset problems. There is a lot more to do, before it will run properly with the international version.

Right, change the exe file to any other 1.0006 version.
But then there will follow many more problems.
This mod is NOT compatible to the international version of SoC.
Several comments here confirm that.

Ok... I used now the 1.0006 exe without cd check, corrected the "localization.ltx" to eng and copied the "rus" folder and renamed it to eng... now it works.

Maybe this should be mentioned, that its NOT for the world wide version and maybe some should have a look at the exe file

There is no log, because it crahes directly.
The last log is from about 2 month ago -> last time I startet a mod in this folder. So there was no new created.

The install place is totally ok, because "D:\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl\" is the main folder. In this folder are various sub folders with patch levels and mods. I'm using this structures since years now.

But the zone isn't that dead as shown in misery. Its well alive and colourful place. Thats the reason why I like the zone green and not dead... And maybe why it should be optional. But in this mod its part of the concept so I guess I will try to play in this setting and decide if I like it.

Dann ist dein Spielstand durch vorherige Aktionen defekt. Einzige Lösung dafür ist, andere Aufträge ab zu arbeiten und es erneut zu probieren. Solche Fehler sind zu tief in der Mod verwurzelt, als das ich sie mit meinen Fähigkeiten beseitigen könnte. Das Problem hatte ich such ein paar Mal und konnte es durch die oben genannte Methode umgehen.

Ich bin laufenden swarog da lang gerannt und kam ohne Probleme raus.
Aber das fällt auch leider unter die Probleme, die ich nicht ändern kann mangels Wissen.

Und es sind alles Dinge, die auffällig werden, da jeder anders spielt.
Bei meinen Testläufen hatte ich bisher keinen knall, der immer wieder kam.

Die Minimap ist leider bei einigen Aufgaben notwendig. Allein die Aufgabe "Ein Team namens Alpha" dürfte ohne Minimap unmöglich werden. Davon ab, hat die. Mod schon einen netten kleineren HUD, der die Anzeigen so klein wie möglich hält. Leider kann man den HUD nicht mehr wie bei SoC mit NumPad - ausblenden. Das Fadenkreuz hab ich immer aus.

Das ist recht bescheiden für Spiele.
Bei vielen Konsolenumsetzungen und DX9 Spielen noch ok, aber der RAM limitiert hier sehr. Für Stalker gibt es auch einen Patch, dass das Spiel mehr als die vorgesehenen 2GB adressieren kann. Ausserdem kann die Engine leider kein Multicore Support, was auch Leistung frisst. Würde man immerhin 2 Cores nutzen können, würde sich einiges bei der Performance tun.

Oh I dont need any ENB as long as you implement some kind of DOF like Gophers dynavision. This plus sweetfx with my own setup makes me happy with a lot of games and it doesn't drop the fps so much like enb. ;)
Nice to read that you spending some time on optimizing the performance!
Lets see if it will be such a modders masterpiece like nehrim.

Hmmm... Das Spiel hat jetzt 5 Jahre auf dem Buckel. Die AN dürfte hier auch weniger das Problem sein, da es nur die kleine Version ist. Die zig Scripts die im Hintergrund laufen und die Teilweise großen Texturen werden hier wohl eher die Leistung fressen. Zu mal es sehr schwer wäre, die AN mal eben aus der Mod zu entfernen. Unter DX 11 läuft das Spiel selbst auf meinem Rechner eher bescheiden, oder crasht mit der Behauptung, mein System hat nicht genug Leistung... Und da schlummern ein i7 @ 3,9GHz, 16GB RAM und eine HD7950 mit 3GB VRAM drin... Ich spiel mit DX10 und Ambient Occlusion ist aus. Das Spiel rennt so recht gut, bis auf die leider unvermeidlichen Scriptruckler.
