Since NES/Master System II times I collected nearly any console, kept my games and got a self build arcade machine in the kitchen (including MAME and a loooot of games). Music production started with ejay program's. Later I moved on to Fruity Loops/Studio, which I'm using until today. I really love the Stalker games and am fascinated from the zone. Here on moddb.com I try to keep up some sort of support for the German fanbase. If any of you modder guys out there thinks you need a German translation, send me a message. Thanks man! Well, concerning the music, you should be aware that some tracks will be changed. But don't worry: The bandit song will still remain! But several others will be/are changed. Cordon got new music, as well as the marsh. The freedom radio has also changed.

I hope to find the right touch for this. I'm a musician myself so I hope this will help me with my decisions.^^

<seen a few videos from the mod... really nice stuff you did there. Some things doesn't fit for me in the zone, but the rest is unbelievable good. Darkscape looks so good... I just fell in love with it^^

There are several places like this. Other places like smart terrains, or bases are quite more detailed and then we have places like the one above. A lot of space and no use for it.

And this is only one example of dozens in almost every level.

Its the cordon at the very end of it in the north. left from the LC to the garbage, up the hill.
There is a lot of free space which is totally unused and I have a problem with unused space^^

So I guess this will be a quest location or something like that.

At least a visit will be worth it^^

And thats how I placed several objects in the world for filling empty areas.

But as long as we don't use the SDK it always a bit tricky.

Limansk was designed as a 'rush through' level and that's it. Freeplay was never planed and so it was no big surprise that you have problems to go back after the construction site.

I walk around this empty city now and try to visualize things that could happened there. At the moment the entire level is totally empty and stable. So its the perfect time to set it up with a new life. :)

Something like that, exactly! And its also the reason why its taking so much time. I refuse to fill the levels with default quests... there shall be stories to be told and also be a part of them. Not just 'pick that box and carry it over there'.

And I'm playing games now since 25 years but its still a quite hard task to create missions although I have seen so many good games in the all the years^^

What do you think how hard it is to resist to work on the mod at work? Sometimes you only need an editor like notepad ++ and then go for it! Several scripts, or ideas came up this way. XD

And lets also mention that the most negative points from vanilla CS won't be present anymore, due to the fact the the story line is gone, with all its ups and downs and so a lot of other problems which had appeared in the game will be gone. And its still a shame, that CS was never good supported with mods. Because mods like the OGSM are a good prove that it is possible.

Looks quite nice, but I hope the zone will finally be filled with life for the DC. All these great landscapes are quite emtpy and there are so many good places for missions. Keep it up guys!

You want to play the mod? Well... this will take some time, dude. We got a nice set of levels and some npc's which are planed a new here and there and some new missions. Weapeons are quite done, artifacts must be reworked and balanced. So atm its quite boring, becuase the rework of the AI starts by now. Every level will be pulled empty from squads and then we will rewirte the logic of the squads, so there will be way more action in the zone as before. And with 'starts by now' means I will start with the first level today. And this has to be done for more then >10 levels.

So yeah... it will take a loooong time until we reach a release status. We are doing something here, which wasn't developed for clear sky in all the years. So we have to start from the beginning to fill the zone.

This is not a simple graphic modification with some new weapons. Our goals are quite more bigger. If I'm done with the swamp, which will be the first level to be tested with our new plans, I will upload a video to show you guys what is planed and what is working.

The map is lost village from the mp part of the game.
Around 100 new trees and bushes were added, the bar is custom made and many detail objects were added and will be added. Stuff like chairy, tabley, boxes, even smaler details like buckets, glases in the bar, empty vodka bottles etc...

It will be a nice village in the middle of the zone.
To gain access to have to fulfill sereval conditions.
One of the conditikns will be your rank, several other won't be mentioned for the secrets sake^^

why only there? I think they have a right to wander through the zone as any other mutant. Maybe they are old villagers, or farmers, some used to work in the area and even some were part of the things which happend.
Near psy anomalies it would be nice to have phantoms, or quite brainf****g sound which freeze your blood or let panic kick in^^

I know man, but the support for this mod wasn't ever the best even in german and he is giving a **** on other opinions. He does what he like and thats it. I even wonder about this page because I knew there wont be any other language support than german.

Well due to some problems with the X19 level I've got the check out particles from SoC I guess... there is a static fire effect missing called 'fire_distort_big' and there are some shaders which seem to make problems, there are mentioned in the log, but I don't know if its a real problem or just a debug message.

I hope it works so far, I added more weathercycles, tweaked the emissions and merged particle paradise with ZOTH. Looks quite nice and fits perfect to the look of the mod. Now I should modify the night ambient and tweak the darkness at night a little bit more.

The bar is well populated a give the feeling of the good olddays from SoC. Several new missions were also added, but there is still a lot to do to fill the world with stories, quests and atmosphear.:)
