Hey, I am a mapper/coder/voice talent/composer for my mod, Galaxy of Chaos, for forces of Corruption. I am a Star Wars nerd, Boy Scout, and musician. (Go figure!) Thats all I'll share with you stalkers.
I might even do it as a seperate download within a few days...
though I appreciate all the praise about the mod, there is no way I could have done it alone... very little of it is actually my original work; I have a dedicated team and good relations with other modders that allow me to get this thing together.

try alphabluemodding.com; theyre the leading authority on modding; be it modeling or rigging, skinning, coding (lua and xml) GUI editing, and mapping. They will answer any questions you have, and then some.
well, I sort of taught myself the basics. I started mapping in '06, and didnt start serious coding until last year. I have learned most of the finer points from the experts on the matter from AlphaBlue, and my own mod team, but for me its mostly trial-and-error, wat works, what doesnt.

yep- resetting the release date for the 1.0 release
as it isnt a campaign mod, (that line of text had been altered accidently) the campaign's triggers probably got messed up. If we do mess with the campaign, it will be in a much later release.
the joke being that with most powerful factions/organizations, failure of a commander to win/succeed was met with death.
if you lose a battle, it will say "You will be executed Summarily!"

Hapes isn't really a faction; to give it the battle Dragon, you need to find the unit, code it in, and make it buildable on hapes. Ive been out of the loop for about a month, but the only Battle Dragon I know of was done by EvilleJedi; however, as it uses Frankie's shader, it is owned exclusively by Evillejedi and nomada_Firefox (and LucasArts, of course).
I'll check out the space battles; never really had that problem
the next release will be mid-late summer
if you don't like the shield bypass, open up PROJECTILES.XML, find the offending particles, and change the shield parameter. this can be accomplished on Notepad.
we ARE still working the mod, its just had a few issues along the way

Thrawn added shields to his Interceptors- he had more caring for his pilots than the Emporer, and the ships are relatively expensve besides.
oh, and the R19 'gizmo' bombers' torps dont work... stupid small bugs...
I apologize for the lack of updates lately, but life has gotten in the way; I may be in-and-out of touch for a week... I'll send up a patch the start of next week, though
@ Railgunner- The 'disabling' of hardpoints without destroying them might not work with the kind of code we have, but I'll see. The graduated loss (relative to ion hits) is what that option was about
@Wordsmith- Fiscal week way be stretching it... but they would be restricting all but planetary base wealth (Mining facilities, trade, and probably getting a cut comparable to a smuggler or corruption income.

what I mean by corruption tactical battles is when you corrupt a planet with piracy, intimidation, or kidnapping, you have to to play a tactical battle to achieve the corruption. they do not load as of now.
As of now, corruption tactical battles don't work (????) and there are a few units that stil don't want to show up... and others that want to duplicate themselves. The duplicates are all code-related, but the corruption...?

yes... our planet coder is about halfway done....
thats about 8 per tech level new, and thats both land and space, and not all are actually buildable w/o specia structures
our new model count (excluding XML-edited units) has broken 120!!!
(might seem like a lot, but divided over 5 factions and [about] 5 tech levels each, it evens out)
