Your argument would be fine if the goal was not to fight *gods* - mythical equipment has a tendency to be over-the-top.

In what fairytale universe is this the case? EA didn't develope the game, and dice is reportedly given quite a bit of leeway to make their titles, usually. Sure, perhaps they should have pushed it, which EA wouldn't necessarily allow them to do, but it is as much on Dice as it is on EA, that the game performed horribly.
Yeah, this is not an important factor. While perfection may at times lead to better results, it really tends to derail projects as well. I would move on from here :)
75% off on an already 10£ game? Man... Steam really has ruined people's understanding of game pricing. 25% off, maybe, but you *are* trying to support the people making the game, right?
That said, MP is all I was waiting for to buy, so there's another customer right there.
wow.. even mods are doing micro-transactions? That is absolutely ludicrous, not to mention possibly illegal. I can't find a copy of D2's EULA, but usually this hinders monetization in case of modification by one rule or another.
Already voted the day the competition started. The dedication of this team is absolutely amazing and it deserves every ounce of recognition it can get.
Honestly - and I may simply be one of few - I'd rather see indications of what is lacking, rather than the squeaky-clean image ESF has always upheld. Image means a lot, I certainly am aware, but when you keep people *feeling* that the game is 'done', with pictures, they will eventually get quite impatient.
I'd really rather know *what* is holding it back and hear updates detailing what's been done and what issues are being had.. But I get that this would take time away from developement and is therefore also problematic.
Can't win 'em all as PR, I'm afraid, Dev.
Base nothing on the fact that you can't run GTA4, it was an atrocious port with a huge lack of optimization.
Backspace is (god knows why) the default button for catching.
As you mentioned yourself, the animations are extremely important! I'd personally really like voice clips with lore read to me while I walk, to flesh out my knowledge of the world itself, but knowing so little of the story, I don't even know if it's a viable option in this game.
Seriously though: Animations. Fix them.
o.o
What does it have to do with Movie Duels 2, though?

As opposed to not agreeing with a fact?
Folks, try to remember that all we see in these videos may be 'staged' so to speak, meaning that while it looks nice and polished, it may still act too wonky for them to feel that it's a good idea to replace the currently 'stable' build with it. They want you to think "this is brilliant" next time it's in your hands, not "man, sure can't wait 'til the rest of the stuff arrives" --- *I presume*
How do I go about fighting 2v1?
I'm certainly arrogant enough to believe that I can do that :D
You see the problem with that though, right? While an SP game in itself is worth buying later because the experience doesn't diminish, an MP-only game suffering from possible low population of a game that didn't immediately sell tons of copies is actually worth less, the fewer people that are playing.
I'm hoping for a success here! I've enjoyed this game while playing it, but I can't see where to go beyond mastering the controls and the movesets.
But the problem with buying off-the-bat on titles like Dead Space 3 is the fact that the horrible business practices are simply ignored and they (publishers) keep getting more and more comfortable in their franchises. (IMO)
Requiemthefallen wrote: You realize most games cost 60 dollars for a pre-order, right? And then another 30 or so for the Season Pass.
You realize that this only happens because we do not act like responsible consumers and actually demand what the price is worth? I completely agree that 10 dollars is what this game should cost. Nothing more, nothing less.
And this is coming from a guy that spend about 3-5 hours playing it today: The game (as it stands atm) does not have the kind of longevity that carries MP titles.
Yeah, this is as wrong as it gets. I respect your game 'n all, but you have to see the logic: your game is *superior* to their game, but it's also a *replica* meaning that players of your game will *not* actually have to ever buy the game you remade.
Basically, you are stealing customers from Nintendo - this is the logic they use when they close down stuff like this. And TRUST me, they do this ALL the time.
Yeah.. That would likely be illegal for them =/
I'm even guessing that this will probably be taken down by Nintendo, as they *really* don't like people to play with their TMs.
I'm actually pretty sure that this will be a free update.
Still, Johnny - That's really not a funny thing, but a sad one, as it is the reason that most companies have atrocious DLC practices :/ be a responsible consumer; demand that your game is worth the money that you gave.
I suppose you *could* feel that the original gamemode was enough, but it was *really* unbalanced and not extremely well thought out.
But.. Aren't we kinda going to need cars to get around then?
*hint hint*
It's an absolutely amazing mod! I've played it at pretty much every medium-sized LAN party I've been to.
That said, it's true that I don't play it day-to-day, but then again, I'm not much of a MFP(S) player.
So.. For 15 dollars you get a pretty generic, although wildly succesful, Multiplayer FPS. Now, I'm sure you're likely to be an ignorant person altogether, but I'm having a hard time seeing how you are benefiting from comparing a AAA MFPS to an indie game with a ton more features, not nearly as many developers and most importantly: not nearly the budget of a Valve production.
Heh, following this since the very beginning, I certainly wouldn't mind helping to see it to its release.
I've always been wondering if the dinosaurs really do play well.
Wow, that is really impressive! What a detailed type of integrated creation.
This looks nothing short of amazing!
Tracked in a heartbeat.
By being run in your browser..?
I fail to see the confusing part.
Yeah, doubt that would happen now that they are making an actual sequel to monetize on their endeavours.
Sad, but understandable :)
That's likely due to problems on your end, mate. I'd check if any anti-virus is messing with your LAN connection there - AVG, for example, is known for doing this.
Make Minecraft (or Tekkit, whatever) an exception to the firewall and try again.
And we suggest this time and time over...

19 years 'n still going strong on MODDB! - I try to be sincere and polite when I write comments, I really see no reason to write anything if it's just a bunch of bullshit that people could've probably lived without, because of the fact that it helped noone. I enjoy MODDB to its fullest and I am happy to spend my time talking to dedicated and talented people that far outweigh my own abilities. - Thank you, MODDB, for being an awesome site, in return you'll never get rid of me!
