Awesome, awesome job. What I played in the demo more than lives up to my expectations...meaning...having to play in shorter stints than I did with Penumbra because it is so frightening.

Ive been playing through with Oblivion Lost and since Complete is an amalgamation of a heap of different mods I thought OL might be one piece of the pie. Is it? And, if so, will my saves from OL be compatible with Complete.

Hey Dec, wondering how it will fire: both barrels at once like in Far Cry 2 (fail) or firing off one barrel each time you fire, like STALKER (win). Better be firing seperately.

You make good points but also seem quite pretentious.
People who play consoles arnt sheep and companies cannot force anyone to buy downloadable content. Sure DLC has a large influence on multiplayer centric games (map packs, etc) but its totally up to the consumer to decide what they want.

Also, I think there has been shift in the definition of "downloadable content", rather than "mislabelling" as you call it. Downloadable content is content that is downloaded after the intitial purchase. Free or otherwise its still downloadable content. Face it, the industry and consumer base change tastes and values...you cant stop it.

"Thats because in the PC world, the users and the community decide how successful the game is, not the suites who run the company who are only interested in how much money they have in their wallet."

The users and community decide how successful a game is in any gaming medium and any business product in general. Its not like PC gamers are the "free-thinkers" of the gaming world and its not like console gamers just buy into whatever crap the industry pumps out.

Ive been buying playstations since PS1 (yet Im not a sheep who subconsciously buys anything the console industry throws at me) and have been playing PC since DOOM. There is evidently a lack of mods on consoles since the likes of PS3 dev kits and SDKs are kinda hard to come buy and the internet "portal" for consoles is so tight to protect the target market from a lot of the **** that occurs on PC.

Dark3r - - 25 comments @ The Mortewood Plaza - Compound Bow!

Compound bows and recurve bows are both used for sport, the range a bow can throw an arrow is dependant on the poundage of the bow as well as the arrows...not what type it is. Compound and "traditional" bows are used in the same areas: sports, recreation and hunting, its just that compounds are becoming more popular.

3 fingers is used because it is the most effective way of pulling the string back with the arrow. Welsh longbowmen used 3 fingers centuries ago...it has nothing to do with the sights or any other factor of modern bows.

Dark3r - - 25 comments @ The Mortewood Plaza - Compound Bow!

Actually you pull the string back with your 3 main fingers (pointer, middle and ring finger). No thumb is involved. The knocking point of the arrow (where it attaches to the string) rests between your pointer and middle finger. I havnt seen anyone pull it back with a clenched fist either, me and the rest of my family pull it back with the string resting in the finger joint closest to the nail.

Sport.ed.ac.uk
that should be better reference for your modelling and rigging

Sorry to nitpick but this isnt a composite bow but a compound. Composite bows are made from a composition of different materials, like wood and horn. This is a compound because of the pulley system.

Anyway nice job modelling and texturing. the different arrow types is a great idea.

That wouldnt solve anything. You still have to grab hold of the pump-action grip regardless.

Well done but..yeah...the axe head position is a bit weird.

Dark3r - - 25 comments @ The Mortewood Plaza - Hunting Rifle

Great job! Though i dont think the scope reflection/contents should be there...the angle of the scope to the players "eye" would make such a clear and whole image impossible...but that doesnt matter. Fun, arcadey mods and games dont need to pay attention to the real world much ;)

Cant wait til you release this puppy.

No they wouldnt...they appear to be cap and ball actions so unless the charge and projectile arnt rammed down into the cylinder properly there shouldnt be a problem

Awesome job.
Just a question...why have a peep sight if there is a scope? Unless the scope can be removed or if there is an unscoped version.
Never seen a peep sight used in a game before, id love to see it implemented functionality/aiming wise.

Awesome. Had the pleasure of shooting one of these, though it was clip loaded. I think you should make the stock appear detachable as well, since I dont think they were made in the way shown here. Unless the texture will show a join.

Great model nonetheless but clip fed versions look cooler!

Seriously...wtf...

This is just too good to be true. It looks so fun!

Question: Can you string this strike together with the other swing...like a 1,2 combo? I think itd make the movements flow really well together and add to the fun...if the level of fun can be added to with such a good mod.

Awesome! I've been watching this for quite a while with envious eyes since I don't own UT2k4, but now that it will be standalone I can't wait.

Just a quick question: What will be estimated time frame of release date?

I really hope this turns out. I love BiA and its gameplay and would love it even more if i was able to play a historic battle as one of my own countrymen! Too bad your computer died.

Hoepfully this hasnt died either...

Might be able to do some research for you if you ever need it.
