If you had been following this, you would know that the Pink Beard was a promise they made to the community that if 1000 sales of the Overgrowth pack was sold, John would dye his beard pink - and for myself, I like developers who keep promises, maybe you don't.
The web comic is game related, and it could be classed as concept art for future characters, maps, settings etc. Adds a story to the game, and gives it life.
If you would rather they did what BlackMesaSource did and only post once every six months, that's your opinion, but the fact that they are making news posts relaxes me that they are still all alive and working hard.
(The pixel art may not have been relevant, but hey it's still really interesting and I liked reading it)
Gots ter spread the word, dont'cha know.
That city map looks a bit like a Gmod RP map I've played.. don't remember the name.. [PE] Serious server plays it.
Anyway, like the progress, looking forward to it.
Does anyone even play this any more?
Thanks for the answers, they made me even more interested. Seems like you have thought this through thouroughly as you created the ideas.
Nice one, and dont worry, your concepts are fine for a mod (as long as you aren't hoping for a job out of it :D)
1) Why is the clockwork/steam miner holding what looks like a mace? Surely if it was a miner he would have a pickaxe - otherwise why call it a miner?
(Also, an idea: you should have a light built into it's chest and another useful weapon/tool on the other hand)
2) Are you going to make a prop that looks similar to the grassland hunter? How will you disguise it? If you see a random shape sticking out of the ground in the middle of a field, tis a wee bit obvious what will happen..
Actually I can't think of a third question. Good luck, don't give up, and I'm tracking.
I love the mod but I don't play it any more. All of the servers are full of insane elitists who can take down 10 ships without being hit twice. Not many noob-friendly learning servers last time I checked.
It was exclusive to FP first so that only people dedicated to the Mod would join, so that less random Kids join, and also for the publicity. The purpose of this week of closed beta is so that the Dev team can work out fully any kinks or bugs they find in bigger onine gameplay; the public are all critics.
The idea, I think, is to release a more full version on the Public release.
1.08GB SDk. Now I'll have to wait for it to download :c
Looks like a promising Mod if work is kept up, and from their Forum they are playtesting, fixing and updating regularly.
Hopefully turn out good :D
