My name is Damian Bernardi and I'm attending electronic engineering at the university of Trento (Italy). Currently I'm the game designer behind the game "Deriva" at www.somniumsoft.com
The closed pre-alpha test is scheduled to start in august/september. Stay tuned!
awesome work!!! Keep it up ;-) Tracked!!!
If you pay attention on the middle of the screenshot you can see my first build, haha =)
Hi Wutz! Thank you for your ideas, especially the example from valve looks really cool, we were already trying something like that... Check out the new screenshot! Bye
hi Sand-fly!!! The character is currently a third of the palm without coconuts... so the island is pretty small. Don't worry about the size of the world, there are already really huge islands(also playable). We just want to show you our project step by step =)
Deriva is a survive game on islands, but the gameplay is going to be totally different from Stranded, Minecraft, or whatever...
thanks!! a new preview video is ready =)
Sure, we were thinking the same thing when we tested the spawn of stones on surface. As you can see also from this video everyone of them fell in the water ;-) However you can also change in edit mode almost every property of random islands!!
That depends from the view mode, the other video has been taken from the wireframe view mode =)
Here lies Jack Sleep. And he does what he can do at best ;-)
And the Divnity Saga =) Anyway a great idea yet!!
Muaha, ci sono anche io =)
thanks for the support!!!
I won't start on my system. Maybe because I have windows 64bit ?
This is really amazing gameplay!!!
The art is fabulous and unique!! Keep it up =)
TGC has over 6000 downloads!!!! AMAZING !!
This track is really impressive!!! Congrats!!
Follow us on facebook!!! Facebook.com
this trailer looks really impressive!!
Thanks Sand-fly! Already 68 =)
Answer: realistic!! =)
Currently we are working on our new game portal at www.somniumsoft.com
unfortunately we are now Somnium Soft due to a few rights troubles ;-)
More info is on the way ;-)
Wow, looks really cool!! Keep it up!!
Yes, wow, I really hope to get far with this project so I'm working day and night on it!!! And your thoughts are on the right way. Someone will remember something from Stranded, although it's NOT Stranded ;-)
Hi RecbHunk!! Seems that I'm alive =)
Check out our new upcoming game "Deriva" here: Indiedb.com
Thanks!!! There are plenty of tutorials on youtube.
Palms and grass were from unity default assets. They were placeholders. Now that the gameplay mechanics are solid comes the real content :D
Sure, it could become Deriva's strongest point!
sure, this weekend comes v0.085 with a lot of gameplay optimizations, bug fixes and a decent singleplayer map :)
Would be a pretty good idea :) In order to open the pre-alpha to everyone we need a lot of new game content to make a good first impression... this might last a while...
yeah!! When there is a day where I have nothing to do I will check out our homepage troubles :) Instead I'm waiting there on massive people access to see on of the greatest overflow crash ever :) sry, I woke up with an lol :)
Sure!! thanks, now we are focusing on gameplay.
sure, time to get high resolution textures =)
amazing work guys ;-)
Yeah the grass is only there to show that it is grass ;-)
right!!! I'm always too lazy to calculate them....=) I will provide screenshots with shadows soon...
great demo ;-)
thanks, I will play soon again this amazing game. =)
yeah, I also think it's intresting....at least the end of the teaser and the music =)
why??? =) I like the character in the main menu very very much!!! hihi!!!
No, I don't know who made this model and I don't know if i will set this model as standard playermodel =I
hihi, I was almost thinking the first days of development to apply this effect as standard =)
There is a bug with apples. I recommand you to download the special easter edition on the official homepage: www.thegoldencoin.do.am
No, you will need v0.200 if you want to update to v0.210 with the TGC updater. Just the tutorial is unplayable for the moment. =)
Yeah, I know Assassin's Creed. But you must think that I'm working alone. And that's already a lot if I can create a small town life =)
What are you pc specs? Try to set the details lower in the settings menu!!
