No =( the alpha is only for people that decided to preorder the game, but uh.... it's set to start just in january 2011 now according to the new roadmap!! So don't worry, keep you alive in our forums on www.somniumsoft.com and we will pick you up for the closed pre-alpha!

I don't know how much things Wine can manage, but I'm using a few special windows libraries(I know my fail..) and some things may not work correctly... When Deriva is far enough just ask for a copy somewhere(private message here on indiedb, or on somniumsoft.com) if you want to test it on wine :) See you!

Unfortunately not, and that makes me really sad :( But there might be a few games from unity in near future that "run on linux" (Not Deriva).

As said above Deriva doesn't has an inventory. It doesn't has even a menu, apart the main menu :) But when you carry items, the speed slow down depends on the weight of the item/object. You will also need to train your strength to carry heavier things!
Hi, we are implementing a few gameplay elements right now. It's going to be a survive and sandbox game where you have to build your home with natural materials or a raft to travel to another island, maybe where you can survive better :) It also comes with an innovative crafting system!!! It has some elements similar to stranded. It's a survive game and to survive you need to eat something :) But the gameplay feels a lot different, for example we don't have an inventory. Instead you can carry push or pull objects around. If you want to take more items with you, then you will need to play with the ingame physics and sandbox elements :) More to come!

Palms and grass were from unity default assets. They were placeholders. Now that the gameplay mechanics are solid comes the real content :D

Would be a pretty good idea :) In order to open the pre-alpha to everyone we need a lot of new game content to make a good first impression... this might last a while...
Deriva is a survive game on islands, but the gameplay is going to be totally different from Stranded, Minecraft, or whatever...
Sure, we were thinking the same thing when we tested the spawn of stones on surface. As you can see also from this video everyone of them fell in the water ;-) However you can also change in edit mode almost every property of random islands!!
I won't start on my system. Maybe because I have windows 64bit ?

No, you will need v0.200 if you want to update to v0.210 with the TGC updater. Just the tutorial is unplayable for the moment. =)

What are you pc specs? Try to set the details lower in the settings menu!!
