I've been a gamer as long as I can remember and a musician nearly as long as that. I'm in a band called Albany Down, gigging regularly in the UK. I have absolutely no modding experience, but I have some ideas which I think would make great games. Sadly I have no idea where to begin and would appreciate anyone's help on how to get started.

Back from the Dead... Sort Of
Alright, it's been several months since I added this mod and posted on the forums requesting help for...well, pretty much everything.  That's a few months of working, gigging with my band and playing games.  I had pretty much given Crusade up as lost until I got round to building the entire thing myself, and nobody could really say when that'd be.

But just the other day I had an idea for a single-player Crusade campaign and suddenly everything that I loved about the original idea came back to me. So I thought I'd come back and see if there was anything I could do to resurrect it.

So Far So Good
I read the few comments on Crusade's page here and realised that if that handful of people were interested in the idea despite the seriously limited content available for it, then with even one extra piece I could theoretically add another handful.  So I got sending PMs to people, asking if they were interested, if they could help, if they happened to have an entire mod team in their pocket... and to my surprise I actually got a response.  It's not a team, but it's definitely a hell of a lot more than I got last time round.

Stay Tuned
And that's about it so far.  I have an absolute assload of ideas for a single-player storyline and multiplayer maps, skills and abilities.  If I could get even a couple of people who know what they're doing then it's forward progress.  Hopefully I'll have a map to show you in the fairly near future and from there the game is on.
Bring it.

Thanks for the reply.

I wish I did! Unfortunately I have zero mod skill beyond pen and paper planning :) I've only just started messing around with Hammer and currently have no idea what I'm doing most of the time!

But good luck with the mod, it's on my watch list and I'll be waiting for release.

Thanks for the interest!

We are hard at work making this mod a reality. I'm sorry but we already have someone working on our music. If you have any other specialties making mods please tell us. Also if you know any moddelers or mappers we could really use the help.

Thanks!
