For this mission, check the dots on the map. Keep shooting in direction of enemies even if they're not onscreen. Majority of enemies will go down with one hit. By the time some get closer you should have enough time and health to keep going until the end of the game.

Sorry for the very late response. I haven't heard anything about an issue with Linux, it works fine with every user yet. The game runs through AIR (a version which is compatible with Linux), you could look into that.

The thing is you found a strategy that works for you, but maybe it won't work for others. And if it wasn't for the randomness, maybe you wouldn't have tried it at all !

In the gold version, you can pick your own party by unlocking the option in the shop !
Gameplay shortcuts are indicated on the HUD : 1,2,3 for powers, A for speed.
Levelling up specials usually increase the numerical value of the power. Disarm : debuff fox X seconds, levelelling up increase the time.
Push + or - to control sound !

The loot is not calculated according to your luck, but with monsters killed, items looted, ingame performances in general.
The Water rune was indeed OP and is way more difficult to get now ;)

We did the random thing because we believe it's more interesting to be forced to try new configurations instead of focusing on making the "best" team. What makes the game interesting imo is that every team combination is different and makes the gameplay slightly different and we want to strongly encourage that.
We probably will add the option to chose your party, though. But it will probably be locked when you start the game.
I put Linux files on Desura because I've been told it worked under Linux. I will test it myself eventually, and see if I can do something about these perf issues
IndieGameStand brought a big amount of players, the more the merrier !
It's definitely possible to win every Dungeons. They have been playtested and finished by a range of teams. Finishing a Dungeon without any kind of healing is really tough though, so you might want to pick at least one healing character or Pet.

Do the PotionDog never appear even if you hire new heroes ? When you have 2+ pets they are randomly picked before a dungeon. That might explains that ?

We wanted the game to be challenging, but we are thinking of tweaks to make the progression smoother.
The fullscreen is really unsure. You can upscale the window, but we're not satisfied with how the graphics are displayed when upscaled yet.
There has been tests about hotkeys. Right now 1, 2 and 3 are for specials and stances.
About the custom party, we're thinking about having the option unlocked late in the game, but that's still unsure as well.

It's really not how we thought the game. We may add the unlockable option to choose the 3 classes instead of getting them randomly, but that's still under development and unsure.
Sorry I couldn't provide an answer closer to your wishes, but this kind of design directions are definitive at this point of development !

I wouldn't say it's an "issue" per say, but there's definitely some balancing to do, because obviously the game is less interesting soloing.

I'm okay with changing stance on the go. That's what they're made for. But I'm definitely going to think about a solution to correct this exploit ;) Did you pass the 2nd dungeon with this strategy ? It's mucher hard with only one character when archer and gunner focus on one

We didn't intend on basing the game on "punishment" per say. I can understand why you wouldn't like it though, no harm feeling, the game is challenging and it isn't meant to please everyone !
