love it, but you mispelt soldier... unless it`s solider. Also When suited up in FFO, mortar gloves are on. Or a glove of a sort. Also, the gas mask carrier is facing the wrong way. The main compartment is suppose to be facing to the front. As per dress state 1 and 2. Other than that... the boots are black not cadpat yet :P

I honestly love it. Don`t hate me :P I just did service for Canada not to long ago.

Also what kind of TAC vest is the model sportingÉ

Thanks for pointing out the typo - that was in all of them too >.< (at least it's not in the image, that would take more effort to fix).

For the hands, there is actually a gloved version (you can see them on the texture sheet on another image); they've since become swappable though.

The boots were originally black, but I was later told to make them CADPAT as I guess it will soon be standard and some were starting to appear on the base. They're still swappable as well (though I perhaps should have tucked the pants into them).

I'm not sure what kind of TacVest it is; it should be the standard kit. Everything is based on photos I could find online, as well as based off the kit that was handed to me by a Sgt, Captain, and Major I worked with (though I guess the Sgt has a habit of modifying his kit, and some of those modifications made their way into the model, such as the way his helmet's stap goes into the cadpat in the front).

I have no idea how the gasmask bag should be worn. Again it's just based off online photos and the bag that was given to me. I saw some soldiers wearing it on that side and wanted to put it there to balance the model out more. It's not attached, so it's easy to invert or move around the model where needed. I think it might be a bit outdated now too (I think I heard they were switching to a CADPAT version as well?)

Yes the gas mask carriers were switched for newer CADPAT ones. The CADPAT boots were a myth. originally. I guess they're coming sooner than later. I'm thinking it may be a field boot though, what polish will keep it green relish like right?

I didn't want to get into break neck detail but since we're talking... haha, the bayonet you have in the centre of the tac vest is training bayonet now. There are newer ones much like the Smith & Wessons. The bayonet is worn (usually by combat arms) at the side of the tac vest right above the c9 pouch, or atleast it was when I was with the RCR. One of the c9 pouches on the side usually gets tilted sideways to make way for a canteen and a canteen cup. And in terms of the tac vest, it looked similar to the airborne tacs. no webbing just pouches. Going back to the gas mask carriers... The opening faces outwards and has a tab so it can easily be ripped open. So the soldier can just essentially throw on the mask, tighten/adjust and check the seal with the canister. Also on the Scabbard for the new bayonet doubles as wire cutters.

And has its own frog to carry the whole set and attach to the tac. Theres also Modular tac, which my buddy from 1 CER has. He can re-adjust the position of the pouches etc. The original version you have has two c9 pouches. And it does as well come with a side arm thigh harness. Obviously your source wasn't wearing that. It's all preference really. They also have CADPAT Gortex Gloves. Another thing to mention the blousing of pants are always tucked in while on a base.

While on garrison, or training or even in the field they are un-bloused or hanging all the way down covering the upper part of the ankle. I really like the detail you put into this though great work. Really good detail on the ballistic vest, all that's missing is ballistic plates, usually a lot bulkier at the back pocket there. Another not to make on the c9 pouch, not sure if you knew this...

But on the side of it is another mag pouch for the 5.56mmx30 mag. Looks like he's wearing an Ice Jacket, but it isn't just looks puffy ahaha. The NVG rig you have on the helmet. Good stuff, didn't miss any detail on that. And the helmet band should be a bit further down, looks like it might fall off in the heat of battle.

Another stupid minor detail... Epaulettes are usually worn on the TAC vest on the quick adjust strap on the left. Same thing with the Ballistic vest, but on the botton strap fastening the shoulder pads for the vest. And don't forget the B dub's as we called them. Ballistic Eyewear ;)

Thanks for allowing me to mention minor details. Something the Army taught me to do! Attention to detail. I might even commented on the boot laces if I could see closer ;)

PART 2 Over 2000 words haha.

They were wondering how they'd keep them polished, or if they'd even have to (might be harder to notice with the camo in the way).

I wasn't aware the knife was changed. I've seen them worn in the center and off to the side, and was told it was a matter of preference. I used a Bombardier's kit for reference a few years prior, and he had his knife rotated to have the handle pointing up (must have had problems with it falling out).

I've always seen the pants tucked in, even during training and desk jobs.

I didn't see to many Bombadiers or gunners in my day. As I was in the Infantry. I wish I had pictures to show you, I'll see if my buddies from battalion have theres set up. It really depends on your COY commander I guess. Or the RSM... I know some guys who have customized rucks versus the standard new ones, which are garbage in my opinion. I was unlucky my section commander and platoon commander were by the books, they wanted all standard issue kit!

Oh well... An orders an order ;)
