I personally think that the "Pay more to make others pay less" and "You must pay at least this ammount or more, not less" models will never work for bundles.

Also, most of the indie purchases (and big winnings) come from the linux side which is not supported.

I voted for cheaper prices, mainly cause that's the only reason for me to pirate games (I pirate games that are really expensive for me, I have like 50 steam games I payed for). Also, I am from Argentina and having a visa or even the money to buy a game is hard here.

By other hand, the actually offered demos for popular games are just too crappy or short and I need to pirate the game to really test it and see if I like it or not.

Anyways, I can say that source engine, with all it's updates, is winning over piracy, cause it makes it too hard for pirates to get their games updated.
