I wish to convert all ships to 'fighter style ship movement' along with movement properties but it is somewhat hard locating the TEC frigate and capital ship files? the other races are generally in their named location..... could you give me a clue where to look? cheers chap

I kept all Capital ships as FALSE fighter movement to show them as being large behemoths giving a broadside of fire rather than chasing a single target - for all other ships i changed to TRUE and copied the acceleration, strafe, deceleration, rotation degree (flight specs) from the Klingon Bird of prey from the SOA2 mod... to see the difference - no ship chases out of the gravity well.. i increased damage a little to shorten the'dog fights' ..gameplay is vastly improved - i will now change these specs between heavy and light style frigates to show difference in mass and manoeuvrability...

forget last message - i have edited all the frigate files and changed fighter movement to TRUE and edited all movement, acceleration, strafe properties etc etc to higher digits (that function) and it gives the battle's a more dynamic feel

I really appreciate your swift and full reply, i have been scanning mods like a mad man and agree there is a lot to see :) with regards to the 'fighter style' movement - i appreciate those points but i find motionless battles a tad boring... but... if it is easy can you tell a noob how it can be done? - or is this top secret lol

well tbh the ships firing static in a line look pretty 'dumb' for want of a better word........ mods like soa2 and SGI show how dynamic movement greatly increases playability - battles - inclding strategy when firing arcs are introduced and turn rates......

that is a highly controversial post - considering the yanks entered both theatres of war late. When war is on your doorstep it is a hard fought game of attrition - when you are thousands of miles away and lazy inbred tubs of lard its's easy to sit back and wait to pick the winning side or enter when you have been pressured into it. America is a disease. A silly nation of 'free people' with ideas of 'every man has right to carry a gun' turning that nation into a hive of paranoia and extremist political views.

Thankyou for that - i dd not realize it was the addon that provided that fighter style movement. I just wanted to say i love the mod and for me it is the only issue i have that makes me feel a tad bored of watching motionless ships line up to fire salvo's at each other.
