StarCraft 2 is extremely limited. And Blizzard Entertainment intended it to be that way. It's just like with WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne; you can mod it, but once they roll in the expansions for StarCraft, then the full potential of modding StarCraft 2 will be revealed.

There is much more content for modders in WarCraft III than with StarCraft 2. That's just one reason why I decided not to move forward with the new engine.

Completely understandable, as well as unfortunately disappointing. The modding community and player-base of WarCraft III is dying rapidly ever since StarCraft II's release, so lack of motivation and/or interest is understandable.

Hopefully things get sorted out eventually and the project recontinues. Otherwise, good luck with whatever else you approach.

Turns out the bags system won't work. In fact, I don't think we'll be able to allow players to view their inventory AND the environment at the same time. There's a lot of possible things that can go wrong with it, so we're just going to have to stick with an inventory that takes up the entire screen; a fullscreen inventory.

There's actually two tiles being used. A darker orange cracked earth tile and a lighter orange cracked earth tile. The lighter tile is used for roads and parts of mountains, while the darker covers just about the rest. I'm thinking about finding someone to retexture the tiles though to look more accurate to World of Warcraft and to look more differentiated, since I've received a lot of feedback regarding the repetitive look our tiles have at the moment. More small little details will be added, but I will not be adding newer details that you would not find in World of Warcraft.

Oh and those big walls are orange rocky walls in World of Warcraft, so I might redo that...

Interesting idea. Just don't place them too much around the level(s) because it could be a real pain in the *** sometimes if you get swarmed on top of one or if you're a healer and for some retarded reason stop on a spike trap to heal. :D

HDR and Bloom are graphical effects. I'm not a programmer, so I can't provide exact details (Google ftw) but they both pretty much intensify bright colors and create a sort of glowing affect.

Not yet, but we will eventually add such a system. You'll be able to show weapons, shoulders, head, possibly chest, possibly hands, and back. Unsure about how we'll show off other parts like bracers, legs, feet, and chest.

Definitely looks a lot better and accurate, however, if you're going for a total conversion that seeks to really recreate the Diablo III dungeon which was advertised in the gameplay video at Diablo III's website, there's way more to be done than what I can see you've done right now. I hate to be harsh, but when it comes to recreating stuff, I get picky. I left commentaries on just about all of the screenshots which should help you improve some parts of the mod.

Can't. It's a part of the WarCraft III engine and the only way to recode it is if we use a third-party program, which would force anyone who wants to play the Wc3:WoW campaign without problems to run the same third-party program(s). RtC's third-party programs can make it possible, but we're trying to get as much progress done as possible without the use of third-party programs.

It is extremely difficult to declare WHEN it will be completed. However, I and the rest of Condemned Entertainment assure you that we're actively developing the mod. We usually cannot do terrain and triggers at the same time, so we do that one at a time. Right now, the JASS scripter, HvO-Busterkomo, is working on the mod and has recently provided a list of stuff completed in the works.

The first beta probably not. But we'll be adding bags and equipment. There will also be different sized bags like in World of Warcraft, so the amount of space you have is pretty much dependent on what you have/can afford.

But yeah, the head and body look fine. The texture is too bright though (needs more shading and details). But worst of all the hands and axe look pretty bad. At least in this shot. The hand at the bottom isn't even squeezing the axe and the one on the right is going through it. They both actually look like they're doing the exact same thing, but are just positioned differently. FIX IT. :)

Also, forgive my ignorance, but I cannot speak Spanish or whatever language the forum is in so I had difficulty finding whether Versus or Scavenge mode will be implemented as well, instead of just Campaign. It includes sound effects, voices, music, custom models, custom textures, over 10 maps, some sloppy excess code from 1.5, and more. So yeah, sorry about that! It's a single-player campaign, so the file size was something we didn't really care much about.

The only thing I didn't really like is how the John voice actor kind of was too enthusiastic with everything he said. He'd say things that would usually imply they are worried or whatever, but he more or less sounded sarcastic because there was so much enthusiasm put into it... or not enough. The microphone quality wasn't awesome either, but it wasn't that bad.

Other than that it was fun and cool.

If you mean if we'll be using the same model and just swap textures for it in-game, then it is very unlikely since I don't think it's doable; Forgotten_Warlord says we might be able to do that though by making the textures change via animations, but isn't completely sure if that can be done - at least with attachments in WarCraft III.

You can see that I've placed several Mottled Boars, a Lazy Peon, and a Horde Grunt. The other units are too far to make-out what they are.

So, the physics in this mod works more as a pushback type of system when they take damage that kills them and throws them in the air or is it going to be more than just that? Or am I wrong completely? :P

The texture for the silver part of the can can use some work, but teh red and text looks good.

Also, you should really consider retexturing the blinds to look more modern. I guess white would be a good color, since it goes with a lot of other colors.

You can see the zeppelin tower at the far right. At the moment, it's the same building as the Wyvern Tower in Orgrimmar, but you cannot ride the zeppelins yet anyway, so it doesn't matter too much.

It's the Reign of Chaos version of the Demolisher, created by Blizzard Entertainment. All I did was set the team color to "Neutral Hostile" and increase the scaling value.

This loading screen was created by Blizzard Entertainment and it was used in the original World of Warcraft. When you're loading to a zone in Kalimdor (Mulgore, Orgrimmar, Teldrassil, The Barrens, etc.), this loading screen would be displayed.

You should adjust the animation speeds for different spells and the range they are casted in. For example, the leap spell shown in this screenshot should have a quick animation like it did in the Diablo III gameplay video, rather than a slow animation the way it is by default. The leap probably doesn't need to be quickened too much, but the ground slam spell the Barbarian does definitely needs it. Maybe 50% faster? Just a guess.

Not until we get more high level dungeons and so forth done. The first versions of Wc3:WoW that we release will mainly feature low level instances. Therefore, there won't be any quests that require you to form a raid and enter/complete an instance. The formation of raids may be implemented regardless though, since we know how much you guys love forming raids to casually attack Stormwind and so forth.

Forgot to mention that if a Player-Bot in your party does something that is for your quest such as kill a wolf, it counts for you and him. You can share and abandon quests as also!

Just a temporary model. Trying to find someone who can model/texture a model of Saurfang, the elite orc in Orgrimmar. The one I'm using right now in this picture is partially WC3 and partially WoW. The WoW parts are the shoulders, texture of armor, jaw-guard, and weapon. He'll be replaced with a custom WoW-Export Free model later when one is made.

World of WarCraft is old and WarCraft III is even older. But when combined, like we did, you've got something new and exciting to play. Wc3:WoW won't be 100% WoW in areas that people complain so much about. We plan to fix the flaws and replace them with pros rather than cons.

Typically the lower-level zones are our main focus to work on due to the fact it is where players will be able to play in and see, while enjoying it. It wouldn't be fun being a level 10 or 20 in Molten Core against much higher levels than you.

Both Horde and Alliance will be playable. As to whether which races and classes will be playable in the public demo we hope to release, I cannot clarify just yet. We're trying to include all races except for the Undead, Gnomes, and Dwarves. Humans and Night Elves will most likely make it in there, but we've been working hard already on Elwyn Forest and Stormwind terrains, so you can definitely expect updates about those areas later on.
