cortez666 Mar 12 2010, 6:00am replied:

With one point i agree with you the first changes news were too biased.
The reason is why i post this, i want to inform the people about the stuff which is going on behind the scene. I assume not everyone here is reading the forums or is in the irc channel, where you can follow the discussion.
The 'offical' news where written by Vermeulen, who basicly acts in the interests of Illfonic. So its also not a neutral post, I dont want to spread hate against someone.
I posted the last Part about the development from Race to Nexrun, because Scriabin asked about it and i thought it could be interresting some other people to. The reason why posted the part, with there also ported maps is because it can attract some q3 defrag player, who can play already know maps and some new maps.
I never said, join our servers! I just said there are servers, because it would be unpolite to say something like go and find them yourself.

I cant tell you if they have to pay id, because i dont know.
Nexuiz wont die, several Nexuiz supporter (modeller, mapper, coder and admins of popular server) dont like the way things developed and will start to get rid of stuff, which will be connected with the console version. Just to ensure a free version of Nexuiz. a petition for an statement of the future of nexuiz. feel free to sign

i got the a similar problem i started the mission get to the objects menu (just a blank menu)and then when i click on the on the buy stuff button its drop me back to the menu.

why did you separate the missions from the mod? it would be a lot easier if you include them in the release (at least the missions with an acceptable quality)

cortez666 Jan 1 2011, 9:18am replied:

of course everyone got a different opinion on this topic. there are basically two groups, one who like the current direction and one who want more complex physics.

When you download the Xonotic preview version and go into the data folder there is a file xonotic-20101223-data.pk3 open it there are 29 physics.cfg you can play with. Just typ exec physicsNexuiz26.cfg for example.

Some server admins also dont like the new changes, so they will run a server with modified setting. When you take a look at the server information there is a point called gameplay. +5 changes means there are notable differences from the original settings.

But keep in mind its a preview so there will be changes on the physics.
