No problem. Yeah, I had a feeling that may be the case. I never tried it myself. It's a shame he shut down the official forums too, but he was too busy to keep up with forum activity.
I uploaded RGM to ModDB back when the RGM forums functioned, as I asked the developer whether I could share it here. Ever since he closed the forum it has been difficult to contact him. However, he does provide an email address in the RGM help files, which is: email@example.com - so you could try that. I'm not sure when the help files were last updated though, but I can't find any other way to contact him.
I can't actually find a changelog on his site or in the game files, so it looks like there isn't one & I have no way to contact the dev. The only change I'm sure of is the increased sprite/texture size & higher res screen-bitmaps [for this].
If anyone else knows the changes feel free to share =T
Gonna update the description soon when I find the changelog, if I do lol
Will reply again when I find it =P
Everything in this game is looking really well made so far, especially those sprites, good job =)
Sorry about not uploading the latest version to ModDB sooner guys, I haven't been on ModDB recently and only I have access to editing this page (I'm not a dev, I just offered to upload to and maintain the ModDB page over a year back I think).
If anyone wants to help, like post news or tutorials, just PM me. Specify how you want to help to make it believable though, I don't want this page destroyed (I'll probably just give you access to post articles/images though at first).
Papa Pear Saga? Digitalspy.co.uk
Not sure what the bottom two are, but this engine is pretty good for FPS, Horror, Side-scrolling platformers and RPG's (in fact it has an FPS, SSP and RPG mode). RTS would probably be quite a bit more difficult, and I don't think it has been done.
Thanks! I'm probably gonna be making more. Probably more detailed too, cause I wanna get into digital art more :)
Looks better when you "view original" (hopefully) :)
This game is pretty buggy. Guess that's normal though now for CA. The gameplay is awesome though (except the campaign AI which are still a bit stupid). They just gotta update a lot to improve performance.
Whilst I admit it's a good fun game, looks nice, and in the future could be even better, I don't think it's as good as AoE II or AoM. Age of Mythology is my most played game of all time, but I just don't feel like playing this as much.
Wow, I love the Timesplitters games. I'll definitely keep track of yours, looks awesome so far :)
I'm terrible since I can't touch type very well and I have to look at the keyboard which slows me down a lot :P
Hello? Anyone in here?
The central designs are cool. Simple and interesting :)
So, is it just a concept for a board game, an actual board game you're making or a virtual PC (board) game?
Edit: nevermind, never read "for my friend". Same question though, just aimed at him :P
I hope you include that sound effect from the old crash game when you hit the crate with the mask in it lol :P
I always play Minecraft modded now. Usually Volts or Tekkit. Doesn't seem as good when I go back to vanilla. I haven't actually tried any other "VBG's" though. Vox does look good though. Though I don't think any of this style of game will ever be as big as Minecraft in terms of popularity :P
I like the blue one more, feels more suitable for an image of the cosmos imo. What do you use to edit?
Glad you enjoyed Rainbow Trash. It's most peoples favorite :)
Thanks, thanks, thanks :D
I don't actually mind if no one reads my blog (I hugely appreciate it when people do though!!!), though I'm trying to build a fan base for my music. It garners more notice now than it used to (but on Soundcloud it tends to be spam, people don't usually fav/comment/follow cause they like a song, more because they want you to notice them...). I don't have any huge musical goals. This is because I'm more interested in physics/maths and I'd much rather get into that. Composing is however my biggest hobby though, so more notice motivates me to make more and learn more about composing. I've taken part in a few community compilation albums elsewhere and they help too.
Oh, the first album is here:
You'll notice the most errors in the tracks Cyborg and Mechanist :P
I'll try that website too, thanks for linking me! :)
I think procedural generation can be good if used effectively, such as in Minecraft or Infinity the quest for earth. If it's not done so well things just look repetitive which is why hand made maps are much better.
You should have an option for a mixture of both: Procedurally generated then perfected by hand!
So far I've spammed the map with broken pokeballs. This looks extremely promising though. Hopefully it continues. Many non-Nintendo Pokemon games seem to disappear some way or another. Can't wait :D
Thanks ! :D
Aw... oh well. Hopefully they'll fix that :P
About to upload a preview to my new EP ! :D
Hey arcones, I see you have Age of Empires 2 HD on Steam. I challenge you to a battle (I know no one else who plays it lol).
This doesn't look like it was made on RGM (since RGM limits sprite size and only has one level of height), looks good though.
I'm still interested. I think putting it on Steam Greenlight will bring more interest too.
You can also try sharing it on other indie game sharing sites such as GameJolt.
Also make sure you have the key.
