You post lots of stuff quite often, so why not track it? I didn't even think about someone feeling spied when someone is curious about new posts. About that fame thing... honestly, as a one of few females you will surely get very much attention :)

I guess most of us here are into army stuff. It's kind of gamers site after all. Just don't imagine me as some kind of warmonger. Simple 'Def' was too short for games and sites, so I just put something in front of it. It sounded well to me those years ago...

The question is, if most of current nonsense ends then.

Can I please select two tactical beards? I put the other on on my butt, so nobody can shoot me from behind.

CommanderDef @ T-34/85 and SdKfz 181 Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger

I think Tiger I was a success and I'm not from Tiger's fanboys. That massive cannon was first class in it's time. The rest of the tank is somewhat boxy and perhaps if they made sloped armor, they could save up some weight on it. Concerning mechanical failures, well, it was more complicated piece of machinery and needed proper care. Otto Carius wrote in his book that those cursed air filters they had to replace and clean every 60 km were in fact well made and volume of air which went trough them in 60 km was 170 000 liters (I don't remember exact numbers correctly, but this is close).

It was a heavy tank with all it's pros and cons... Without it, germans would have just PzIV which is like a piece of junk compared to T34/85. On the other hand, Kingtigers only look nice, but making an expensive tank when you completely lost air superiority is a total ******** even if the machine itself was reliable and had enough spare parts... spare parts are problem when your factories get bombed...

Sure, tell me. This is similar thing: I think I never saw an air combat with missiles done well in a movie. There are always missiles chasing the hero's plane like dogs, repeating his maneuvers and closing slowly. The only way to get rid of them is of course to fly into Grand Canyon and make a sharp turn..

Yeah, arty, the plague of Wargame. I think I have never played any Tom Clancy game, but maybe I have read something a long time ago. Well, it's sci-fi. I also prefer something based on real assumptions, but usually it's ok for me if it isn't just magic.

Isn't being from Kazachstan an issue? I mean, even if you are ethnic Russian, such work for government surely draws attention of security agencies. How old are you?

Yeah, two friends asked me to join them on MoW. I got a tank, the one against me pulled a Tiger and my tank was finished :) Note that it was a GSM mod. But that's my issue about MoW, instead of controlling armies, there is one, two tanks and maybe a bunch of infantry to control.

Haha, tired of being evil commie with tesla troopers and mind-controlled squids? Moddb.com

I didn't like damage system of CoH1, fortunately there are BK and EaW mods. I played MoW few times, even Assault Squad, but it didn't caught me as much as Wargame.

I played lots of Generals mods before. Now sometimes Insurgency or Cука2, when there are friends online.

Eastern europe also had Su22s, and MiG23/27s. Both have variety of armament, for Su22 even a small nuke is available. Also bombs, ATGMs, Anti-radar missiles + IR AA for defense. In real life you need them, but have you seen them in mods?

PAK DA looks pretty big, it surely doesn't fit the role of direct ground support. But this modernization look interesting En.wikipedia.org

I don't think I saw Su-17/22 anywhere. Who cares about lighter bombers (well, it's multipurpose), when there are Tupolevs? MiG-25/31 is known and favorite for modders. They make fun about A-10 being built around the gun. You can say about MiG-25/31 that it's the first stage of those AA sniper missiles.

No wonder they won't sell A-10. Even after decades, it is still rivaled only by Su-25 modifications. But the gun would loose some of it's potential without those depleted uranium penetrators.

RE: Su24 is not that much known. I even thought it wasn't exported, because it wasn't exported to us, neither to Poland or East Germany. But there are more planes less known, like Su17/22, MiG23/27, or MiG19 and these were exported a lot.
