Actually it depends if there would be the Munich Betrayal (and government's steps) in that alternate future.

Let's say history is not rewritten - I'm living in poor protectorate and want to do something against it. Maybe I manage to get into UK to join RAF as many pilots did. So I would fight with Spitfire (plane I don't like), or join some bombing squadron, to fly on Wellington. Target? Germans!

If I don't manage to get away, well, let's join some partisan cell. Steal German weapons and make some damage. I guess I would be happy with any gun I can get - partisans can't choose much. (I'm a big fan of poloautomatic rifles, such as SVT40, but German army sucked at this - so MP40 would make me happy enough.)

First of all, modern planes are not only planes, but systems. As for Gripen, we have them equipped with NATO systems. Original Swedish Gripen is connected by another protocols and use different tactics.

I heard that Sweden system allows one radar to guide missiles from another plane. Like you have one plane with only passive radar and one with active radar few miles behind. Enemy would see active radar and think the Gripen is still out of range, but the first one is actually closer and can fire sooner.

Zoom it and look on 5x13. You'll see it doesn't exactly fit. If you take the smallest angle of 8x8 shapes, you'll get arctan(3/8). If you then look on 5x13 configuration, look at that angle again. From where it fits the bigger part, it should be same as arctan(2/5), which is obviously not. But difference is very small.

Particle accelerator have to be large, because if you are accelerating particle with centripetal acceleration, the particle will irradiate some energy away. So you make the accelerator large to have minimal centripetal acceleration and so your energy leaks are not so huge. But still, you are accelerating it with set of super-electromagnets (in fact with potential difference of these magnets) and it will irradiate some of that energy you are giving to it. Basically, accelerators are just pipes with those magnets (cooled by liquid nitrogen, or helium). Overloading those magnets can cause circuit overburn and magnets won't work, but nothing more, no explosion!!!

The basic problem with gypsies is that they live together, so assimilation to other people is slow, sometimes none. On the other hand in a small town Krty the gypsy family was attacked by molotov bottle thrown trough window in night. But this family was quite good, they all had jobs and had no problem with others. The whole town agreed they were quite good neighbors... That's racism...

It was only matter of time, that will happen everywhere, in every country with refugees and immigrants.

Gay parade is now in Prague and nearly nothing happened... some people come to shout on them and rude counselor of our president called them "sexual deviants" in public. We all agree in silence, but in public we must think it's rude and unfair, or we are racists, fascists, nazis, communists and everything bad you can remember. About this counselor, they call him "provoker" and "rebel", but he is good. He really work for president who really works for us, unlike the rest of our system...

I don't know how about Serbia, but but in here there are so many Gypsies and if they start similar rebellion that would be somehow different. They have a special ability to be armed and unarmed simultaneously. You can't shoot a man with piece of rubbish, but he can attack you with that. When someone hit the Gypsy it's racism. Recently barmaid in café refused to give an alcoholic drink to 15 YO Gypsy. He left and return with 4 older friends armed with knives and baseball bats. They shout "tady máte vy bílý hlavy!" (take this, white heads!) and heavily injured all people in café - that's not racism when they do it.

Phenixtri, if you take camo net over plane, it would be difficult to refuel and rearm. You know that there should be no wooded area near airbase. I really wouldn't try to get plane like this to grass, you can damage it with muck, or it can just be drowned there. It can really stand only on asphalt, or in hangar. Anyway, the plane is visible with IR sensors and even with just targeting camera of laser guided bombs. It's magnifying so the bomb guy can recognize the net. But you would not destroy one plane this time, you will bomb the runway to eliminate all plane starts.

Výborně bojovali i Briti. Američani bojovali jen v přesile, tam nijak velký respekt nechovám a Itálie, Francie nebo Maďarsko jsou mi k smíchu.

So, basically I think that Wehrmacht itself was not bad or nonhuman. What they did falls on heads of those who commanded it. Why didn't they resist? Because a good soldier does not, because nazi propaganda was brilliant. It might even look appealing to torture someone for a while, since in group behavior changes and mental barricades are going down (just look at riots). This is not only Nazi issue, it goes the same with Red Army or Japanese. Propaganda made effective soldiers...

Jews - from historical point of view, those are people who were scattered all over the Europe and Mid East. For their different belief and code they were hated by other population. Since in many countries Jews were not allowed to make on their living by crafting, they usually lived from trades. Traders, bankers, often money-lenders - this is what they became after middleage. Many of them got rich and more hated among population.

It is true that often, when monarch needed gold, they just pillaged some ghetto and stole what jews had. They have been hated all the history, in all countries. Then WW2 came and people realized it. They are people. And after war they wanted to unite somewhere, but where? In the end, they have been given land, where all three religions have holy places. Land which have been already taken at the time. And their population grow.

They deserve their own land, but where should we place it? From Arabic point of view, they stolen their lands, which is true. They have USA support, hi-tech military as well as nuclear arsenal. And they must expand, because of population growth. I am not surprised Iran wants nukes too.

But for humanity, there ARE bigger problems. Money system where money comes without value, behavior between people + international relationships, oil crisis and much more. And you guys completely understand what atheism is... I have never thought there is such a war between christians and atheists now, because in my country it's hard to find a real practical believer. More than 50% are atheists and the rest are mostly people who have been brought up to belief by older generation, but have been in church just few times.

First of all, we have no God, but also no holy places, holy books and those things, at least we in CR don't have. I see a difference between me and american atheist that must be more into it than I am, because you don't like them there - as I said I didn't know there is such a war until I saw some videos (this one for example: Moddb.com) I know that example is in fact an advertisement, but there are so many long videos with discussions, like they must prove they are right. They have no place in devout society, but they need it. Just accept them. If your belief is that strong as you claim, then they can't bring you to bad way. I don't mind christians, especially if they really follow their church, but here I can see some empty phrases...

As I said, no God, no fetish, no Idols, no heaven. No prayers to universe. But we keep traditions in CR (in fact they are even older than christianity). It's same just in one point - everyone can explain it to his point of view and that makes us not all good or bad. For a long time I thought that religious man can sin and then just apologize for it, until I met a young man that really follows the original idea. He changed my mind about you, and not just a bit.

Both missiles and radar technology advanced during years, and I don't know much about Iranian technology (I believe there are just few people who knows). If they are equal planes, then it's matter of numbers and pilot trainings. American pilots are spoiled with their technology so there is good chance for Iranians. The other think is, they use their faith as propaganda of their rebellion. Problems with holy books (koran, bible) is, that you can interpret it for your use. That was here centuries ago, but they are still so much addicted to their Allah and kind of backward society - from my view. I know people needed Gods to explain things they didn't understand, but now? We can explain almost everything, so why rely on God who has not been seen for all the time? HawkEye, I know you are probably believer, but even this is different, or would you go to war just for your god?

Well, he is not such a hero, but he got Libya "tribes" under his control and he managed to hold such a long time. No-one is perfect, but he did what was needed and bring a peace there. You can't make everybody happy you know, so rebels appeared. He could bomb them down, but Americans didn't hesitate and join this conflict.

Many people like me think, people of Allah should solve their problem with each other, but not with NATO or any military organization. What will happen? Islam radicals will get the power, and then new anti-west organization is created - stop oil and start with "terrorism". The next step is another war - for their oil. Then new government will be created to serve american wishes, but nobody from that people will listen to this, they will hate americans and war will be very cruel.

If you don't believe this words, you'll see. And even if I won't be right, I would be happy for that...

One of special forces problems is how to get them to target area safely, this is the solution

Modern enemy is not whole country, it's guerrilla type. Yes, they have AKs, RPGs, Stingers and something like technical from generals, but no Shilka, or AA missiles. They probably don't have even radar if it's smaller group.

In conflict with Al Queda and similar, there is no need to put your expensive pilots with their expensive planes to fight. There are some stingers to defend and there is no target for tons of bombs. That's why you use UAV for it - it's patient and makes no rash decisions. You can just wait in the air and rotate operators until target is found or your UAV is run out of ammo.

In conflict with whole country there are targets as squad of tanks and some better anti-air guns and missiles. So there you need really high-tech UAV or plane like Raptor - sneak in, destroy target and than return without real danger. Only thing you can do with jets against "terrorists" is to make them afraid of your planes, but only thing you can do with UAVs against whole country army is to loose them.

Even if you imagine F22 in dogfight, you must admit it's possible to shoot it down. Stealth makes you hard to see on radars, not completely invisible. To Griffin: pilot training is another expensive thing, so quantity with low quality will cost you more.
