I'm giving this mod an 8 although I'd really prefer to give it a 7.5, compared to a lot of releases imo this has FAR more visual polish and style than they do. That being said it still has its rough qualities.

My main gripe are how basic a lot of the combat encounters are, and compounding that problem is the fact that there's a LOT of them. I felt like the mod kinda ran out of ideas gameplay wise and it kinda just felt like I was fighting mindless waves of enemies and getting tired of it in the 2nd half.

However while the combat sections aren't all great, the world detail, sound, etc. are top notch. I was surprised by the consistency in quality despite how big the mod was. It's not the prettiest mod I've played but it always looks as detailed as I expect it to be room to room.

Now the thing that really kept me playing, shockingly enough, was the story, if you can call it that. I love how no explanation is given as to what's going on with your citizen opponent. It felt very intentionally surreal, like it's kinda silly but at the same time it's pretty brutal. Getting to see his charred corpse at the end and reclaiming the crowbar was a nice touch.

Overall it's clear the author put in some serious work and the mod shines with a unique mix of humor and horror. I think it's worth a playthrough, just probably not on hard like I foolishly did lol.
