In Portal 2 if you look at the ceiling of the relaxation vault, there are frames underneath the glass - indicating there were panels there.
I'll just say it most likely won't release in 2014.
Looks nice, not a huge fan of the artifacting but this is still really cool looking. :)
If you're using regular normal maps you can try swithing to SSbump instead - it can help cut down on the artifacts if they're simple enough and saved using the correct VTF format and flags.

The chambers in the mod are being built when you enter them, making them appear as if GLaDOS is building them fresh for you as you enter. Screenshots don't really show that so I can understand that it's not very obvious. But believe me, there's moving bits all over.

Kind of both. The same model, but it's been edited so that it turns orange, and has dirty skins that work the same way. Basically as ScicoPax below says, it's now styled after Portal 2.

We used this design for gameplay reasons.
It's a remake of Portal, not a remake of Portal's test chambers. Of course the boss fight will be there. :)
We did make a small modification. When you put it on buttons, the lights turn orange. Just to keep it in line with Portal 2's stuff. :)
