You are the greatest. Thank you.
Valve does know about it. They used to have it banned, back when it was first released. They lifted in July of 2009 under the condition that it was only a mod and not distributed for profit. That reason alone is why it *can't* be Greenlit, not for profit, at least.

It's a shame this doesn't work anymore... I loved this mod, but now that all the models and textures are broken, I can't play it.
I've got a solution. I posted it to the Steam Forums. The post is located here: Forums.steampowered.com
I haven't played it in a while, but I believe a door opens up on the other side of the room. I'll need to check again.
I like the realism on the locations and the varied voices for the citizens, but some of the levels are confusing and often too hard to get through. The very first level, for example, has you running from soilders and Overwatch while you carry supply crates THAT YOU CAN'T OPEN! Also, the soldiers and Overwatch should not be present in the City, guarding the rations. It's not like a physicist is gonna start a revolution any time soon... and my final critique, why wouldn't the soldiers come after you when youappear in the fountain wearing your HEV suit? They could at least book you for not wearing your blue citizen clothes. Otherwise, it's an OK addition to my Half-Life 2 collection.
God damn, the music is amazing. That and most of the gameplay are the reasons I still play the mod. Voice acting, on the other hand, need some work.
