I’m a pretty experienced mapper and have relased 2 map packs for Star Wars Empire at War using the Stargate Empire at War Mod™, and im the lead mapper for Stargate Vengence, a mini series based on Stargate using Stargate Empire at War Mod™. Report article Retiring the ole girl

Well, after close to six years. Im retiring my gaming computer. My dad gave it to me when i was 11 or 12 when he bought an HP (guess he was too lazy to build another one). I made a few up grades to it. Like when he gave it to me it only had 128mb of ram. Now it has 512. Or when i got it, it only had a 64MB GeForce 2 graphics card. Now it has a GeForce FX 5500 in it. But now its time to retire the ole girl. But on the bright side, heres what im getting.

Globalcomputer.com

EVGA e-7050/610i Motherboard
Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 Processor BX80571E52
Kingston PC6400 800MHz 4GB DDR2 Desktop Memory
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB Hard Drive

A big up grade compared to what i had. Of course ill be putting in my GeForce FX 5500 and 7700 and run them both useing the SLI tech instead of the Intergrated Ghraphics card.

No offence, but it's kind of a "meh" computer, very good value for the price though. And it depends what you are using it for.

Sorry to take your plan apart, the GeForce FX 5500 doesn't have SLi capability. The FX 5500 is an AGP card, while the board only has a PCIe slot. Also, you couldn't SLi with that board anyway.

Actually to todays standards its not bad. It mainly needs a video card more then anything else. If it's an XP then you've wasted your money on those 4GB of ram.
